After meeting and getting bids from 3 other contractors, I chose Penney Construction to completely gut and renovate our basement. New ceilings, walls, flooring, insulation, recessed lighting, complete stairway, cabinet installs and building of a pub table. Ryan and his team were outstanding in every way. Great carpentry skills, good idea input in several areas, neat with cleanups and excellent communication. New basement exceeded expectations! Wish I had done this 5 years ago with him!

Ryan was consistently responsive and professional. He listened carefully to our renovation needs and wants throughout the construction period. He and his subs were reliable, friendly, and skilled. Although the project took longer than anticipated for reasons beyond anyone's control, we are thrilled with the results and would certainly hire Ryan and his company again. Ryan is dedicated, hard-working, and a pro. It is clear he takes great pride in getting things right, and his work shows it. We highly recommend Penney Construction.

Every job was done to perfection. If there was a day and time to be there they were. If I had any concerns it was always taken care of. I would highly recommend Penney Construction you will not be disappointed.

All of the work was done according to schedule. Mr. Penney was very helpful with his advice and recommendations. The estimate was accurate and the price very reasonable. All of the workmen were polite and very careful. The. electrical , plumbing, painting and carpentry was according to plan . I have received many compliments from guests on the quality of the work . I would recommend Penney Construction without any reservation and contract with them on any future work in my home.

We hired Ryan to do a remodel of our first floor bathroom. He completely gutted the room down to the studs and built it back up from scratch. Throughout the whole process, Ryan was organized, communicative, clean, and respectful. This goes for all of his subcontractors that also worked on the job as well. Every one of them was as nice, friendly, and just helpful as Ryan. He also gave us lots of help in picking out fixtures and materials that were needed to complete the job. Ryan suggested vendors for us to shop at and provided guidance in the types of materials and fixtures we should consider. All of his suggestions were spot on and we absolutely love our bathroom and often receive compliments from our friends and relatives.

The project was completed in two months, on time, on budget. We could not ask for more. Ryan and his staff were communicative, conscientious, on time, and well organized. It was a pleasure to work with him and his team. We would definitely hire him back if we have another major project.

We had hired Penney Construction to remove an old wooden deck and replace it with composite, so we already knew how professional and reliable Ryan and his team are. Because our kitchen project was a major one, we checked Ryan's references and the responses were very positive. In fact, one reference who has a beautiful home told me, "You will never regret hiring Ryan Penney." She was right! Ryan is so easy to work with because he's respectful, responsive, and fair, and the team who worked on our kitchen -- Danny, John, and Tiago -- are talented, pleasant, and very respectful. Even when I changed my mind about a few things, Ryan and his team were flexible and gave me input when I needed it. Our kitchen looks like something out of a magazine, and we have gotten countless compliments on it. We could not be happier and will definitely hire Penney Construction again when we are ready for the next project. As his previous reference said, "You will never regret hiring Ryan Penney." We agree.

After having various contractors make initial contact with us and then disappear, Ryan was a breath of fresh air. He was punctual and courteous. He was patient while I explained the project and gave an air of confidence with regard to understanding and being capable of completing the project. Unfortunately, this did not work out for him, but he sent another contractor our way and we are using him for the project. I would definitely hire Ryan for a future project.

Ryan and his team were extremely responsive and did a great job for us. We have two young boys and everyone involved with the job was so nice with them, they also did a great job cleaning up thoroughly at the end of each day so the boys were safe to move around the job site in the evenings. We were so impressed with the pride that each person took in their work. It was clear that they wanted to be sure that we were happy with the work. They were always on time and were great in letting us know what had been completed at the end of each day and what would be done the following day. It felt like we were working with friends by the end of the job. We've received so many compliments on the work that was done - it really came out even better than we'd imagined. We have a number of building projects in mind for the future and we are happy that we found such a reliable company to go to.

The first time I met Ryan Penney was in early spring when he came to look over the proposed deck situation. I could tell from that first meeting that Ryan was very knowledgeable and he provided excellent ideas for the layout, size and extra touches for the deck and access to deck. Soon after he provided a very competitive estimate (I also interviewed 2 additional contractors). Ryan and his amazing team exceeded my expectations in every way, with their professionalism, friendliness, quality of work and helpful suggestions. It was very evident that these carpenters take a lot of pride in their work and they worked diligently in some very hot weather to get the job done. I couldn't be happier with my new deck and friends/family have commented on the beautiful job they did. A big thank you to Ryan and his team.

Ryan did an amazing job. Our unfinished basement is a spectacular living space. In every category he exceeded our expectations: quality of work, communication, schedule, creativity, personality, price/budget... We were very fortunate to find him and heartily recommend him!

This project couldn't have gone any better. I submitted this proejct out to bid to 5 different contractors before hiring Ryan and his team. They arrived each day they were scheduled to, exactly on time, and were polite and professional during the entire project. Ryan's price is very reasonable and provides good feedback on ideas that may or may not actually be practical or sound to implement. Ryan is very responsive, courteous and perhaps most importantly, put up with several changes to the scope of work. I was so impressed with the price and quality of work, I'm not even putting my next project out to bid, which will include taking down a load bearing wall and doing some significant upgrades to my kitchen. I'm excited for the next project to start, thanks to the confidence I have in Ryan. Highly recommended.

Ryan did a great job replacing a set of old broken down stairs to the my deck and entry way. He resonded quickly to my request for an estimate which was very reasonable. He scheduled the work as he said he would and showed up as promised on a freezing cold morning. He removed and disposed of the old stairs and cleaned up thoroughly when the job was done. My new stairs look great. And just in time for the holidays. I would recommend Ryan to anyone needing quality work at a reasonable price.

I heard of Mr. Penney through a relative and had had no success calling other contractors. Only one previous contractor returned my call and quoted a price almost twice my budget. I was anxious to have the work completed before another New England winter. Mr.Penney answered my call immediately and came to the site almost right away. He was very professional giving me options as to material to be used and the look of the porch when finished and I was pleased by his estimate . He began work and the only delay was due to the failure of the city to inspect the footings. After that Mr. Penney's crew finished in just a few days and the new porch looks teriffic. My wife and I are more than pleased and plan to use Mr. Penney's services again. I would recommend his work to anyone who asked.

Ryan Penney returned my initial call with promptness and professnalism. He immediately set up an appointment to discuss the project and provided a detailed estimate for the project within days. Once we agreed on the plans and price, he and his crew started work within the week. They we courteous, prompt and efficient. The project was finished on time and within budget and my new bathroom and window seat are the highlights of my home. On top of it all, the addition looks like it has always been a part of my 100 year old home. If I decide to do any more work on my home, my first and last call will be to Ryan.
