MARIO & SON ROOFING

They did a fine job, but they forgot to replace the gutter on the side of my house. Then water leaked to the garage. They agreed to replace the gutter.

Recently purchased a home that was in need of a new roof. Thought we would be able to get through the winter but discovered during a moderate rain storm that we would not. After securing several bids we hired Mario and Son Roofing, largely because Mario promised his crew could start right away. And his price was competitive. Potential customers should be advised that Mario is an old-school contractor. He quoted a price verbally, and I demanded he put it in writing, which he did, but I think he's used to reaching an agreement with customers in a less formal fashion than many Angie's List members might find uncomfortable and unfamiliar. The work was terrific. His crew was small on most days, typically three, and that meant the job was 4-5 days versus 1-2 that bigger roofers were estimating. They cleaned up after each workday and took appropriate measure to protect the surroundings. They were punctual and friendly. We would definitely hire Mario again and recommend him highly.

I spent about $500 at that time. There was a leak in the roof of my son?s house. As he was leaving for vacation and he wanted to get the roof fixed quickly. So, I called this company. They responded quickly and did a good job. There hasn?t been any problem since then. I will use them again in the future if required.

Responded quickly to my request, which was very good since it rained soon afterward, thus avoiding more damage. For the time spent, the price seemed high, but I was grateful to have this done quickly. I am having difficulty commenting on the quality of the work, since I am not a roofer. But it seems to have done the job. There have been no further leaks.

MARIO APPEARED TO BE AN HONEST, AND EXPERIENCED ROOFER. HE TOLD ME THAT HE WAS WORKING ON A LARGE PROJECT NOT FAR FROM US, AND THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM GETTING OUR (PARTIAL) ROOFS DONE. WE WERE TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED AT HAVING SPENT SO MUCH MONEY ON A JOB THAT WAS DONE ONLY 50%, AND THAT LOOKS SO UGLY. THESE PORCHES ARE USED FOR SITTING ON.
