Len Gibely Contracting

Working with Len Gibely was definitely a good experience, I would recommend them to other people looking for roofing work. They were responsive both before, during and after the main work, and answered all questions we had. We might have been able to find a roofer who could have done the work for less, but we have no issues with the amount we paid. You get what you pay for, and the communication aspect was important to us, and they were great on that front. So.... money well spent.

It went wonderful. When they got into the project they found a few things in the estimate but everything went fine. They did a good job.

We did not use the provider as their price was more than twice competitors.

Contractor was the only one of 4 who responded to my request for an estimate. Work was started about 2 months after proposal was submitted and accepted. Contractor disclosed his backlog, and the final schedule was well within my expectations. The final schedule was coordinated 1 week prior to the actual work and updated daily. The work was completed in less than a week. I am completely satisfied with the quality of the work, the cleanliness of the work area, and the skills, efforts, and friendliness of the work crew.

The crews were here for three full days. They were extremely professional and curteous at all interactions. Except for their lunch times, they were working hard at all times. They were outstanding. After I called for the original estimate, Brian Gibley came exactly on time. He went around the house, and knew our concerns about snow and areas that required special attention. He gave me a fair estimate and understood what exactly had to be done. I agreed on the spot to retain them to do the job. The office called us and told us when the work would be done, depending on rainy weather issues. They called us several times to keep us undated on when the work would commence. They came when we were told that they would. Each day, when finished, they cleaned up completely. When they left after completing the job, the grounds around the house where in excellent condition and one would never know that they we here at all. The next day, Brian Gibley arrived and went around the house with me going over details of the work and making sure that I was satisfied. First class company. Competent, talented, and consumer sensitive.

I was very pleased with the level of professionalism of the office staff. I was kept informed all through the process. They showed up when they said they would and finished the job on time. Amazing clean up. I didn't have to do anything. The roof looks great and has weathered these last few storms well.

They were amazing:communicated well about when they were coming, came on time, finished the roof in two days and the yard looker better than when they arrived. They also stayed true to their estimate. Can t say enough about them!!

From my first call to request a quotation through finishing the job, everything was first rate. Brian, the owner, came by for the initial quote and was incredibly knowledgable and honest. I ended up having a small window in which the work could be done and they were incredibly accommodating to meet this. I am very meticulous about maintaining my house and all the work done satisfied my very high expectations. Armando, Rinaldo, and the other talented folks in the crew not only did great work but were a real pleasure to deal with. Follow-up questions were also promptly answered. I can't say enough good things about Len Gibely and the work they did on my house. I certainly believe they have worked very hard to earn the great reputation they have. They have my highest recommendation.

I hired Len Gibley Contracting Company for the installation of a new roof on my house. First of all, when you call this company, they answer the phone. Other companies use voicemail or email to communicate. Len Gibley Contracting even has an office showroom you can visit. Deb, the office manager, gathered my info and set up the time for owner Brian Dobbins to come out and review my roof. Brian took the extra time to crawl through access panels to view areas I was concerned about. The proposal I received was reasonable and based on how I was treated by this company so far, I hired them. Brian arrived with the crew and did a ?walk around? with his foreman, Rinaldo, to address my concerns. The crew showed up early every morning and put in long days. When there was an issue of concern (replacement of plywood and rake boards) I was informed immediately. This crew pays attention to detail. They inspected fascia boards, sealed all gutters and are also experienced carpenters which prevents slowdowns. Brian?s crew works in sync with one another flawlessly as they have been together as a unit for many years now. My roof area is large and took about three days to complete with Brian appearing on the site each day along with his general manager, Jeff, who made sure the crew had all necessary materials. The clean up was impeccable but what was really impressive was Rinaldo going around the entire home doing a final inspection of the work and property clean up then checking with me in case there was anything else I saw. They want a happy customer. This company did such a great job from start to finish that I awarded them my mother?s house for a roof replacement that also went very smooth. So, with two roofs completed nearly back to back, I am a very happy customer and would not hesitate to use Len Gibley Contracting for any of my future needs.

The work was started June 25. I was told two days would be needed to complete the work. So, I took two days off of work. The workers arrived that morning, Thursday and some of the work was completed, the next day, Friday, he 26th was a no show, a phone call would have been nice. I eventually called Jeff about noon. They were tied up on another job but he would be here Monday to complete the work. Another day off of work with no pay. They finished that day but the trim on the front of the house wasn't replaced but covered with a piece of aluminum and nailed to the house with roofing nails, not very attractive. I told Jeff that was not acceptable. He said, you won?t even notice it after a while when it?s covered with dirt. The insurance company estimate included removing the gutter and replacing the fascia on the front of the house. They felt that it was necessary to do to replace the section damaged trim. I had faxed copy of insurance estimate to Gibley with this info. When I received a balance due bill from Gibley, I called and refused to pay it until they replace the defective trim, per our contract. I had multiple phone calls with Jeff, concerning this and I even had my insurance adjuster talk with him. I kept calling Jeff concerning the trim issue. The excuses kept coming why he couldn't get it done. An employee was out sick or an employee was injured. It got to the point, after 6 weeks, I couldn't deal with Jeff anymore, so I had my wife call him. Again more excuses but would be coming this day or that but never showed and no phone calls. This went on for another month of no shows until one day, the second week in September; Jeff left a ladder at the house. That sat there for almost a week before the job was actually finished. So, the job was started June 25th and finished Sept 22 or 23rd. Almost three months. Never have I hired a more undependable contractor than this one. So, if you like excuses and poor dependability, this is your guy. I?m quite sure if I response is given, somehow it won't be anything they did wrong. Just more excuses.. I was surprised by response from the provider, someone obviously didn't read the contracts before making inaccurate statements Yes, i had two contracts. Part of the first one was to check the roof for a water leak. I found the leak prior to the job being started when i was cleaning snow off the roof. There was a screw, not screws, in the roof. i told Jeff about the location of the screw and where it was a rubber roof, i left the screw in. So, they did nothing at " no charge" as stated, i was charged. The second contract, the insurance contract, involved covering damaged/ dented aluminum window frames in the rear of the house from the falling ice. Three windows were damaged, they only covered one. If the provider read the insurance estimate, they would of seen that., so there not completing work based on insurance estimates, that is correct. A electrician was needed to wire in the new bathroom fan. Jeff called me after leaving Thursday to tell me the the electrician couldn't come in till Monday. He didn't tell me he wasn't coming Friday until i called him that day. Jeff said it may rain and they didn't want to work in the rain doing the gutters. Yes, i offered the workers beer Thursday, i also offered them water and coffee thru out the day also, so what. All the issues i had began the next Monday. My wife also mentioned Jeff agreed with her on how the repair on the front of the house wasn't very attractive. None of this should of happened . I called on more than one occasion wanting to speak with the owner, he was never there. He called me twice but only after my review and each time when i was at work and cell phones aren't allowed at work. When i did call back, it was always the company phone number that was given me and as usual, Brian was never there.

New gutters installed. One needed adjustment. Foreman and owner responded quickly to my request. Concern for correcting the problem. Thank You.

I would highly recommend Len Gibely Contracting. They replaced our roof, gutters and repaired wood on the side of our house. They also installed a cupola. Overall, We were happy with the service. The roofers were quick and professional. The owner was on site while the roofers were here. The only con was a little of the work around the wood repair. It is difficult to estimate but the total came in at the end significantly higher than anticipated. We would have liked a new estimate when the damage was discovered but just got a number at the end. Also, in repairing wood our fascia was left open for a week and wasps nested in the open area, too far to reach. Just a nuisance but no big deal.

They were very punctual and did the project in a very professional manner. They also did all cleanup and removed old roof from yard I would definitely use Len Gibley Contracting again for any of my home repairs.

They did a great job. Left the place all cleaned up, in and out in a day.

The workers were great. ?It was a good process. ?He sent enough workers; it was an enormous house so they can do it in one day. ?He doesn't even put a dumpster in there instead he brings a truck so the stuff goes right to the truck and when they go home at night everything goes home with him. ?He was there on the day he was going to be. ?I would recommend them.

They did a good job. They did excellent. They came when they said they would come, and they finished it in a day, and they cleaned up after themselves. I wasn't there when they did the work, I left in the morning, they weren't there, and when I got home, my wife said they had finished the job. I would recommend them.

Outstanding service and quality work. The roof has been through 2 winters since they installed and we have had no issues.

The installation went smoothly and quickly. The guys were professional and skilled. The 17 windows went in with no problems. The 3 skylights required some adjustments to the ceiling/roof, as the size we had were no longer made, but there were no issues in the installation and the guys got it done quickly. Within a few days of installation we had a torrential rain storm and there was no leaking at all. And, the new windows really made a difference in cooling and heating this summer through winter. There was an issue with tape residue on the ceilings and walls left over from duct tape that was used to tape down plastic for lead abatement, as required by law, and Brian was very easy to work with to come to a resolution. We are pleased with the job and would contract with them again.

The provider was responsive, punctual and honest with his recommendation. They were timely in arriving and efficient in getting the job done. Brian was knowledgeable and professional in his presentation. We would strongly recommend this roofing company for winter services and regular roofing repairs.

We had no leaks afterwards; they were able to solve the problem. They are pretty reasonable. I called them, they showed up and gave me an estimate. They showed up when they were supposed to and they solved the problem. I was happy with them.

Excellent provider all-around. The best communication from a house service provider that we have encountered. Job was done quickly and done well. What was most important to me was the excellent communication about what would be happening when and the responsiveness to the initial call. Wish they were plumbers and electricians as well so the experience could be repeated with those providers.

The women who took the messages were very polite, but I never received a call back and no one ever came by to provide an estimate. Very disappointed as apparently some jobs are too small. Update: I spoke to Barb on Nov 20th who assured me that my request had not been forgotten but that gutter cleaning does not start until after Thanksgiving. Expectations were reset and I indicated that I although I had the gutters cleaned the job was not thorough and they did not handle splash guards. I am pleased that Barb took the time to address my concerns and I looked forward to working with Len Gibley in the near future.

Brian is a very professional estimator, and the costs and timing of the job were spot on. The carpentry crew was very professional and completed the work on time and with minimum of hassle. While the roof was open a powerful storm came through. The lead carpenter came to my house on the weekend to make sure the tarps held. He also provided his cell number and told me to call at any time if there were any problems. This was a big job and I am pleased with how it came out. I've used this company to put on my roof, and I wouldn't hesitate to contract them again for any work - big or small.

Len Gibely is a top notch operation. I was confident right away that they would do a great job. Unfortunately, the weather was less than cooperative so it took a few days longer than original planned to replace the roof. However, they made sure to clean up after each day. The roof looks great and I'd recommend them to anyone in the Salem area.
