I called the owner and he quoted me $195 (including digging) to pump our septic. He came to the house about three weeks prior and could not find the septic tank and said he didn't have time to dig and said I would need to excavate it. We ended up finding it and it was only 29" down and my hubby was able to dig it up. I called him and to come back and now he quoted $220 (and we had to dig it out!) plus a riser to bring it closer to the top. We negotiated $220 with the riser. He came on 9/21/11, did the pump but didn't have the right size rider. He ended up charging $200 for the pump. He didn't think ahead either time and it was VERY frustrating!!!
