Asylum Fitness

They have tons of equipment so I rarely have to wait for anything. They are very clean. I have only been going for 6 months because I switched from a different place. Usually at health clubs they’ll show me how to use the equipment and then I’m on my own or I can hire a personal trainer. Here I am actually training for hiking a trail and I told them that. They said they will help and they are helping to tell what to do for training and then they had a woman do a weight regimen for 6 weeks with me and she asked me to come back in 6 weeks to change it up.  I haven’t paid anything else except for my membership fee. The other thing which is nice is that I pay month to month and it’s same price as other gyms in the area. Usually it’s cheaper if we pay upfront but this one is monthly and if I quit I don’t lose a lot of money. I only pay one month fee to join which is a nice feature. They have a lot of classes including zumba and everything included in their price. They don’t have a pool but they are affiliated with some pool that members can use.

Laurie is a wonderful massage therapist. She is very intuitive and seems to know exactly what I need to have worked on, even more than I know! She has a very peaceful, kind energy and has a lovely space within the Health Club (despite some background noise from the health club) with wonderful music. I have been to many massage therapists over the years, but Laurie is the best.
