Steve Gallagher and his son did a tremendous job on replacing some exterior trim of our house. Long story short: Steve is a craftsman in every sense of the word, and his attention to detail is unmatched. We needed some rotten wood exterior trim replaced, and chose a vinyl product for longevity and durability. Steve met with me prior to the work, and inspected the areas I felt needed attention. Steve quoted me a project price in just a few days, and was able to schedule the job in about two months time, well within my timeframe. The work took about two weeks, and because I was around the house, we had daily chats about the work, and if any other items came up, Steve was unbelievably helpful in getting all the work done with complete attention to detail and superb craftsmanship. We could not be more happy with the result, and will definitely look to Steve and his son for additional work as needed. Very highly recommended.

We had Steve and Nick in our home for 8 days stripping wallpaper, prepping walls, painting woodwork, ceilings, and walls. Steve is a meticulous painter and treats your home like he would his own home. Everything is tidy and neat; no messes at the end of the day. Final clean up included washing the windows where water splashed and vacuuming. We would highly recommend S.C. Gallagher Painting Contractors!

Steve and Nick did an incredible job painting our home. This is the second time that we used the Gallaghers and they have far exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend their services. I've used several painters over the past 30 years and none have come close. Not only do they do incredible work, but they finished the job on budget and ahead of schedule.

I employed Steve and his team to re-plaster and paint the ceilings, walls, built-ins and radiators of a vintage 1913 Arts & Crafts house I recently purchased. His work is meticulous and beautiful, and his professionalism impeccable. Steve communicates really well, is 100% reliable and dependable and is really just a great guy. The owner of S. C. Gallagher looked at the room and gave us a quote to prepare the walls and paint the walls and the ceiling. S. C. Gallagher came one day before painting to prepare the room. The next day the room was painted and it looks GREAT! We will call S. C. Gallagher the next time we a room painted!

We have used Steve before, so we knew how it would go....great. Turned out there were way more cracks in the ceiling than we thought. Steve spent two days on prep alone, filling in nail holes and all the cracks in ceiling and walls. Huge amount of work. Before he started, he put down plastic over all the rugs he would be walking on outside the bathroom, coming and going to get equipment. Then he used primer on all the walls and ceiling. Also cleaned the top of the fan for us and took apart the fan so I could clean the paddles. Removed filter on the vent fan as well so I could clean and used vac to clean dust off dropped ceiling area below cathedral ceiling. He did not have to do these things, as they were not in his estimate. Took off old towel bars and hung new ones using molly bolts to stabilize. Put final coats of paint on walls and ceiling. He is meticulous; when he finished , the room looked like it belonged in a brand new house and was very, very clean. No one preps and paints like he does. He is not the cheapest painter around, but if you want to have it done right, and to be really happy, he's your man. Will have him back at some point for other projects. Love our "new" bathroom.

Very well. They showed up on time each day,worked hard and were very neat. They cleaned up at the end of the day. I would have them back anytime.

Steve also prepped and painted the trim around our garage doors, and prepped and painted around the front door and door lights on each side. The front door area was a mess and one other painter told us nothing could be done, or maybe we could bleach the area to get rid of mold around caulking. Steve restored the whole thing to almost like new: clean, beautifully painted. He did a fine job of painting the garage door trim as well. We plan to hire Steve for indoor work this winter. He is meticulous, spends lots of time prepping, and won't be happy until things are perfect. He is a real find.

Steve is a true perfectionist. Very trustworthy, honest & very dependable. The doors he replaced & painted look beautiful and the windowsill he rebuilt is perfect. Steve will be doing several other jobs over the next few months for us and I can’t wait. So glad we have found someone who really stands behind his work.

I've known Steve for many years. His work is impeccable, and i am very particular!! he's detail oriented, on time, and does whats needed to make the project right. Anybody that uses Steve won't be disappointed.

Artisan work! From prep work including sanding, filling and priming to completion of job- I could not have been happier. Steve restored my 1917 house after the 2015 winter. He came early and stayed late if necessary and was always professional, courteous and very neat and tidy. Steve's knowledge of which products to use when while working with horsehair and/or blue board/plaster exceeds anyone I have ever known and was essential when working in my home. I would never use anyone else.

Excellent! Took approx 2 weeks, meticulous prep work sanding and filling while maintaining the esthetic of the molding and details, the painting is even.....painted the ceiling, inside cabinets, outside cabinets, walls and trim detail along with 3 windows and four interior doors. The finished product is beautiful, it could be in a magazine. They were always on time and left the job neat and tidy. I have used them before....with an older house and lots of detail, they don't just paint but restore it to its original beauty with a dedication preserving the detail so you end up with a very high quality finish.
