The guys at Route 1 Auto Service in Norwood are knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy! I took my old car to them after the transmission died (the car also had other issues). After going over my car problems with Bob, the owner, I decided, rather than fix my old car (179,000+ miles), I would shop for a certified used car. Bob, told us he does car inspections for people prior to their purchasing a car. Boy, am I glad we had Bob and his crew inspect the certified used cars first. One certified car had a leaky axle, a plug in a tire, missing air filters, and other problems too important to overlook. The car dealer said this car had to pass their rigorous inspection in order to be "certified". How could these problems not get spotted during their certification inspection? Of course I passed on that car. I did find a car that only needed replacement of windshield wipers and air filters. Which the dealer agreed to replace. But I could not have discovered any of these problems if I did not have the cars inspected first. Buying a car is way too expensive to do blindfolded. Get the used car checked first. So, if you're looking for a mechanic or shopping for a used car, bring the car to these guys, you won't be sorry. I wound up with the best car because of them.
