Mr James Pray took $4000 as advance to order and repair our front staircase. We paid him two checks worth of $4000 ($1500 and $2500) to order material in the beginning of he process. He has never showed up after receiving second check of $2500. It is very difficult to reach him on phone and on texts he just make excuses for not able to come and finish job. In last three months we have no access to enter our house from the front door and condition oat the front door are very hazardous.

I would have been better off having done it myself but decided to give them a chance they seemed professional at first. The father is old and out of shape and needed help from a labourer which is understandable but he treated his help like slaves and used profane language and I live with two small children who were in earshot i asked him to please tone it down my wife and I didnt appreciate the language he apologizied and the work was fine at first. But then he asked for a check and I gave him almost half up front he did not return or answer my calls for days on end and seemed under the influence of something when he did return his laborer had quit due his abuse and I don't blame the poor guy. As for the son he only came by to check on the job andnbarely did anything in terms of work except drop off materials and assured me they would be back on track within the week so I again foolishly gave him the benefit of the doubt. The father returned the following morning and had a older and younger helpers with him showed up early when I left for work by 7/730 am I work close to home and often come home to eat lunch and let out the dog. When I returned the helpers were gone and the father told me they can only work half days or something along those lines . What should have taken a week or two for professionals dragged on for months they left the work site my yqrdlike a junkyard and scattered tools all around the yard where my children could easily access them. I finally told him that I did notlike how he has been conducting the job and i felt they didn't get enough work done yet to get more money. He then got very angry and told me to basically f*** myself I was apalled in front of my son. And he left his tools and and the job half done. I had to call his son and tell him I would notlike his father on my property again and to get his tools we live in a very nice quiet neighborhood alot of younger couples with lots of kids and old couples
. I was embarassed by thier craftsmanship I ended up hiring a different company who did it for almost a quarter of tthe price. Why am I speaking up two years later because people deserve to know and I just saw the son working on another job in a neighboring town .
