Not well at all!! I would give F to everything except that initially Ron tried to help, but Kemper Kitchen from Metropolitan is beyond any help We ordered a Kemper Kitchen from Metroplolitan. This is the worst Kitchen company. Compared to other places that we designed the same Kitchen this was one of the most expensive but since they promised a 4 weeks turn around for semi-custom all wood cabinets we went with them. It is almost 6 months now and they have not yet resolved the issues. The issues included: warped pantry door, misplaced drawers, doors and racks that do not open or close well, all the doors are random sizes and some of the doors do not even open without hitting the microwave (there is already damage to the door!), unfinshed areas where the glass was cut and placed, etc. In some areas the distance between the two cabinets is less than 4 mm which does not allow the door to open. Susan the sales person from Kemper in response to the random sizes of the doors and drawers says "people ususally do not care how their kitchen looks like". And then she claims "average people in their life time only design 1 and 1/2 kitchens so they don't know better". Well we know better and we do care and you should not be in a business that you don't care about the quality of the work that you provide. And then Jim, the person Kemper sends to correct issues! He does not respect the customers time, he started a fight with my contractor that I almost called the police on him. While Ron the designer tried to work with Kemper and get the problems resolved, he too kept saying "I am just the middle man". Jim claimed that the contractor and the designer were wrong for not putting spacer in between every cabinet! Ron correctly says that a spacer in between all cabinets will provide ugly seams and lines everywhere. Ron should not be selling a product that is so full of problems. Instead of 4 weeks we are now almost 6 month into this with no resolution about the major issues with this kitchen. Will be contacting attorney general's office and BBB as well as the credit card company. The problem is that with this kitchen if we want to redo it now the quartz and all the appliances are in place and it will cost double the cost of the kitchen itself to get another kitchen put in. Please think twice and do not go to Metropolitan and do not get a Kemper Kitchen from any other dealer. I hope I can add photos to this to show you how bad they are with their product.

The sales advisers at Metropolitan were extraordinarily helpful: patient, well-informed, listened to our preferences, and gave sound advice on our multiple proposals. The cabinets were delivered on time and with no flaws. The same was true of Metropolitan's countertop division. We were invited out to the warehouse/shop to place the countertop templates on the granite slabs, for best use of the patterns.

From the very beginning, meeting Bridget who helped us find the granite countertop we'd been looking for and hadn't found anything nearly as beautiful at five other place, to Chris and Ian who helped us through arranging the template, to the fabulous technician along with Will who helped us choose the arrangement of the granite on the countertop to the group of installers, led by Bruno, who came to our home- everyone was stellar!  The customer service is beyond reproach, the choice of countertops almost endless and the professionalism of every single person was outstanding.  They all seemed more than happy to be working for Metropolitain Cabinets and spoke highly of the owners.

After comparing different cabinets from several vendors for my new kitchen renovation, my contractor recommended that I go to Metropolitan Cabinets and Countertops in Norwood.  They have a showroom with absolutely beautiful kitchen and bath designs, and their designers are only to willing to help you design the layout of the room.
I dealt with Jenn Billotte, Designer, and she was simply wonderful.  I was there for hours looking over every detail of the specs for the space and she made very appropriate suggestions.  I also ordered all my cabinetry from them, as their price was extremely competitive.
The cabinetry was delivered on time and in perfect condition.  I also borrowed sample cabinet doors from Metropolitan so that I could choose the various accessories I needed in the space.  They allowed me to keep these as long as I needed them.
The company that made my cabinets was Kemper.  I highly recommend them.  Metropolitan also produces their own cabinets on site, and I believe these are custom designs and sizes - I did not have the budget for this, but I can assure you I just adore the workmanship and quality of the ones I have.  If you are unsure, just ask Jenn to help you pick out a color and style.

Bridget was wonderful.  She was helpful and answered all my questions.  She let me browse around and pointed out options and detail I wouldn't have seen.  I needed time to think.  This was a tough decision for me.  She was patient.  When I finally was ready to make my choice Bridget was supportive. She involved me in the layout and design.  The entire team at Metropolitan Cabinet & Countertops made the whole process an adventure.  My kitchen and bathroom look fabulous.  Everyone loves the design and colors.  Remodeling a kitchen is a big decision.  Do yourself a big favor and stop by Metropolitan Cabinets & Countertops.  Ask for BRIDGET.

They came on time to measure the location and ~10 days later came on time again to install it. It fit perfectly and looks gorgeous! Great people to work with and highly recommend them. A very professional operation and very pleased that we used them.

Our architect recommend Metropolitan Kitchens and accompanied us on our initial visit.  We had an idea of what we wanted but needed to see the product and styles in person.  They had everything we needed to see on the floor and the sales person we worked with, Shane, was very knowledgeable.  We felt like we were able to make our own choices and not steered toward something we didn't necessarily love.
When installation time came the drawers in the master bath cabinets had a problem.  The grain in the wood did not line up correctly, it was offset somewhat and did not look good at all, I was very disappointed.  After a call and a visit from them they agreed to remake the drawers.  It looks beautiful.  The cabinets have been in for a year now, the drawers and doors all work well, no sticking or bumping.  I really don't have any complaints.
We also ended up buying our counter tops from them.  Again, we were allowed to make our own decision.  We decided on soapstone for the kitchen and an engineered stone for the bathroom.  They made sure to discuss the pros and cons of both.  Now they are installed we love both of them.
Another factor in our decision to use them was the fact that the cabinets are made in Massachusetts.

I had the most positive experience with all these people here. Brian was cordial and professional.  It was a most painless experience and the marble countertop is absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend their services.  I went to many others first and compared everything, and I wish I could say that the contractors from other businesses that I used were as great, but this particular aspect of the kitchen renovation went as smoothly as it could have.  Beautiful job guys- I thank you!!

It was a pleasure working with Metropolitan Cabinets. Liz Karp offered ideas based on what we said we wanted. We spent time with her at the showroom and she came to our home. She made suggestions that fit our budget. The quality of the work was outstanding. Service was prompt and Liz was available if we had questions. The cabinets, sink, and granite are absolutely beautiful. We could not have been happier with the service or the quality.

The cabinets are beautiful and the quality is great. That is where the good news ends. For cabinets costing so much one would think that the customer service would be superb, but nope. Every time there was a problem during the installation, it was a headache trying to have it solved with Metropolitan. They would either blame our contractor or suggest a solution that would cost us more money. I would not do business with these people again.
Response from METROPOLITAN CABINETS & COUNTERTOPS
"We are sorry to hear of Member’s dissatisfaction with her experience as Metropolitan strives to ensure that every job goes smoothly and that our customers are completely happy with the process and result. Metropolitan does not install cabinetry – we design and manufacture cabinets and countertops and work with contractors and consumers from conception through to completion. In Member’s case, our designer measured the kitchen in the presence of both the contractor and Member and was told that the ceiling height would remain as existing. The contractor then lowered the ceiling height, without informing Metropolitan, so that the cabinets were too tall to fit. After all parties discussed various solutions, Member decided that she wanted the contractor to raise the ceiling back up as had been initially decided. Our designer was present during the installation to make sure that everything fit perfectly, which it did. We are thrilled that Member is happy with Metropolitan’s cabinets and we wish she had expressed her dissatisfaction during the project so that we had the opportunity to remedy all issues."

POSITIVES: The design of the cabinets available from Metropolitan was excellent, including the selection of wood, style, layout, and options. Most of their cabinets were fully customizable. Price was also very attractive. Our Metropolitan designer was very resourceful and helpful. She took the size of each appliance into consideration when drawing plans. The designer also came to the site to take exact measurements of the room. Metropolitan then fabricated the cabinets within the schedule and delivered them without delay. The quality of the cabinets was as expected from what was shown in the showroom, when they were able to produce them according to the specification.
NEGATIVES: The issues we encountered were: a piece of cabinet with incorrect size, a cabinet with an unspecified drawer instead of a shelf, poor quality open shelves (as if they would be on the inside of cabinets), and an incorrectly fabricated filler piece. For their credit, all of these issues were quickly addressed by contacting Metropolitan's designer and we were able to receive replacement pieces that meet the design specifications. However, these rework added more time to the project and led to more work by our carpenters.
SUMMARY: If you are looking for affordable, well-designed cabinets of high quality, Metropolitan may be the place for you. From our experience, we encourage you to fully examine the cabinets as you receive them from Metropolitan for precision and quality. Metropolitan will work with you until all the pieces become correct to the original design specifications.

Metropolitan cut and installed our granite countertops. We had a very mixed experience. They are fabricators but not suppliers, so they have samples in their showroom/warehouse but the customer then has to go to a granite warehouse to pick the actual slab.  We worked with Ron Rowell who really has a great eye and is an excellent kitchen designer, however we were sent on a wild goose chase looking for the actual granite two times - one we rushed from Norwood to Haverhill looking for a sheet because all of these places have limited hours, the first place Ron sent us had only one piece to chose from and we had to dash to Haverhill before the other place closed by 2 only to discover we couldn't look at slabs on a Saturday.  The second time, we were asked to come look at remnants. I left work early.  I was given samples to look at, found one I loved and when we got out to the yard, Metro did not have it. Again, a big waste of time!  We then scoured other warehouses to find the remnant.  When we finally selected our granite (our contractor asked the granite company to photograph two slabs so we would not have to drive back to Haverhill again on a workday), we met Ron on a Saturday and he did an amazing job helping us place the forms, deciding where the seams should so, where to cut out the sink. The person who cuts the granite was wonderful and worked with us too. The final result is gorgeous countertops that we absolutely love. Their price was also competitive.

Even though our job was small by their standards (a single remnant of granite), they worked hard to accommodate our very tight schedule, getting someone to take measurements the same day we came in to the showroom, and delivering the countertop well ahead of their typical turn-around time. Gave good advice on granite selection and cutting/polishing options. Installers were very professional. Overall, very pleased with the experience.

It was a smooth process. I liked the fact that they made the cabinets in-house without importing. They had a huge warehouse and factory, as well as a showroom. It took them about four weeks to get them to us. Everything was good.

Note we worked with Norwood location of same company. The good news: the design was excellent, with a very attractive layout for the kitchen and good help selecting cabinets. They also receive A for responsiveness and professionalism because they have addressed all the problems listed next. The bad news: mis-measurements and poor construction quality. The kitchen island countertop was measured too large for a sheet of silestone, then two of the cabinets were supposed to be open bookshelves, but first shipped as regular cabinets, then re-shipped as open cabinets but unfinished, then fixed on third try; while the side panels of the island were too large due to the countertop, then replaced with the wrong design, then corrected on third try. The quality became a problem 2 months after install, when summer humidity caused every door to swell to being stuck open, the island end panels split at the seams with an horrific thundercrack, and miter joints on pantry doors all swelled to gaps. Metropolitan replaced every door and drawer front. Also, apparently Silestone counters occasionally have bubbles an we ended up with a small divot; not a huge problem but added to disappointment. While they made repairs, we are fearful that next summer the cabinets will again fall apart in humidity, and fear is a lousy lasting impression after an expensive kitchen renovation. In a previous residence we purchased Kraftmaid cabinets from Lowes, which price out the same as this but were of higher quality.

When I initially went there, the lady that helped me really took me by the hand and let me know what was good and bad about everything. She coordinated the kitchen beautifully and I am very pleased. They were honest, helpful, and hard working.

The job they did was awful and they look terrible. They delivered stuff that was substandard. The salesman was fired. Worst of all, the cabinets came with no instructions. The carpenter couldn't figure out how to build them.
