"HOME INSPECTIONS BY CHARLES" is privately owned by Charles P Magri who has over 12 years of experience inspecting homes, a degree in engineering and business from Northeastern University and over fifteen years building residential homes. All inspections are performed by Charles and includes observations and reporting on such items as roofing, siding, windows, doors, foundation, plumbing, heating and electrical systems and more.

The inspection, while it lasted a long time, included many useful details but missed a few key pieces of information that ended up being important and ultimately convincing me not to proceed with the acquisition. Fortunately I hired another professional to give me a second opinion. The inspection report did not include any photographs which in this day and age is really helpful, particularly when trying to get estimates for what things will cost from contractors--since inspectors by law are not allowed to quote prices.

Charles was very nice and was able to get the inspection done a lot sooner than others. Be aware that his inspections will take a VERY long time. It took about 3 hours for a small, well maintained, single family home. I assume that can translate into being very thorough but it could just mean that he moved slowly too. He made sure to go over his findings with me before he left which was great; even if he would lose track as to what we went over already. Hopefully his inspection is solid and I wont find any missed issues. I would recommend him for sure!

We hired Charles to inspect a new house we were in the process of purchasing. He was very thorough down to the last detail and knew exactly what he was doing. He walked us through the entire house step by step and showed us what needed to be fixed urgently and also provided tips on how we can do it ourself to save money. He sent his report same day exactly when he said he would and they were very detailed and nicely written. I highly recommend him!
