We first used Rick to perform landscaping services. He prunes and fertilizes our existing shrubbery, plants new bushes when needed (appropriate for the specific location), mulches around plantings and performs general yard maintenance duties. We are very impressed by his excellent customer service, thoroughness, attention to detail and willingness to share his knowledge. He most recently rebuilt our front walkway area. The pavers in the walkway had sunken and become uneven and the retaining walls were in danger of toppling over. Rick explained what had happened and what he would do to correct it. We hired him immediately for the hardscaping project. He is a true craftsman and carefully re-excavated the affected area, brought in a substantial amount of crushed stone to create a much more stable base and then carefully and precisely rebuilt the retaining walls and reinstalled the pavers in a herringbone design. We could not be more pleased with the results. He even spent extra time and went out of his way to go to the stone yards to pick up materials and try to get the best match for our existing pavers. Rick always responds quickly to phone calls and/or e-mails, lets you know when he will be on the job site and arrives on schedule. He cleans up the work area daily and takes away any trash or debris. His bill was very reasonable. We plan to continue using Rick for landscaping maintenance and we have already hired him to repair the back walkway (needing similar repair to front) without getting a firm estimate.

It went great! Rick was awesome! He came out to our house very quickly after I had contacted him to give us an estimate. He came back to our house when he said he would and started and completed the job. Rick was extremely professional, thorough and neat. He was very reasonable. I would absolutely, and plan on, hiring him in the future.
Additionally, Rick replaced the flashing around the bathroom vent pipes.
All in, Rick is a very detailed, precise, and trustworthy professional who goes out of his way to get the work done properly. He takes the time to do it right the first time. Highly recommend his work and in fact have since hired for other work.
Rick installed the new screen door perfectly. I was particularly concerned as we just had new Hardie siding and trim installed which is very expensive and did not want it damaged. Rick was precise with his measurements and installation and we had no damage or issues. He adjusted the screen door tension to handle the weight of the door and close with just the right speed. He even pointed out a scratch on the door as it came from the distributor and provided a tel# to call where I was able to get a free bottle of touch-up paint from the manufacturer to fix the scratch.
Rick and his helper installed a very heavy granite mailbox post and installed the mailbox. Both the post and mailbox are perfectly level. Even though it was 90+ degrees outside, Rick took the time to carefully replace the stone landscaping around the new mailbox location, he removed the thorny barberry shrubs around the old mail post and dug out the old mail post footing and then replaced the stone landscaping so it looks just perfect - no sign of the old mail box. Even the neighbors remarked on how great a job he did!
Rick replaced an the old garage basement door which did not close properly once the insulation guys sprayed the wrong foam around the frame. He ordered the steel fire-rated door which was just the right style for the house. He also suggested a digital keypad set which we love. Again, he took the time to make sure the framing was just right, installed the door, reinstalled the alarm lead, replaced the trim as well as the door kickplate. Again, everything was done perfectly right down to the countersinking of the trim nails so they could be filled and painted. A day after the work was completed, the lockset malfunctioned. Rick came out right away and called the manufacturer directly to determine that the lockset was defective. He brought it back to the distributor and ordered the replacement and once it came in, he was right out to the house to reinstall it.
All in, we could not be more pleased with the work Rick has done. He takes great effort to make sure all is done just right. I would absolutely hire him again! He goes above and beyond every time.
We had a very good experience with him. I would highly recommend them. He was on time. He was knowledgeable. He was very prompt in giving the estimate and finishing the job. In fact I do have him coming again for another project.
I have used Curb Appeal Landscaping in the past and have always been amazed at the quality of their work. From the instant that I met Rick I knew that whatever job he did for me would be exceptional. They installed 8 Canadian Hemlocks for me about three years ago and just last week were back to prune and shear them for me. They look amazing!
Not only is the work they do beyond exceptional, but they are neat, clean, friendly and professional. At the end of the day the only evidence of them being on your property are the tremendous results of their work. Their work is impeccable and I will never hire anyone but Curb Appeal in the future.
He did a much better job, than other companies have done in the past.
Easter weekend, I got many complements on how good the yard looked.
Curb Appeal Landscaping owner, Mr. Slavinski, returned my call and came to my home within a short time. Shingles had blown off the roof during heavy winds and rain the previous day. He determined what needed to be done, quoted his price, and performed the work efficiently, with superior neatness, for a very reasonable cost, and the work was completed within days. I would not hesitate to call him for any further services I might need at my home in the future!
