This team is amazing - I cannot underscore that enough! After my family member became disabled due to an accident, we needed accessibility modifications made to our home. AIP completely restructured a fairly small existing bathroom into an ADA-compliant bathroom with roll-in shower stall that is beyond what we had even thought possible. They had knowledge of and experience with specs and features that would be necessary for someone in our family’s situation - many of them details we didn’t even realize we had to consider. AIP were meticulous about sticking to their work schedule as promised and finished the job LITERALLY TO THE HOUR that they promised it would be done. They even left the new bathroom and their workspace sparkling clean and ready for instant use. Perhaps best of all, they demonstrated consistent care and compassion for our family as we made our way through the early weeks of our sudden and sad circumstances. I recommend them over and over again

We needed a mother-in-law suite of rooms (which meant we then needed a replacement living room and kitchen as a new build extension) but we also needed to go overseas for the most part of a year. We spoke with several contractors but as soon as we met Bill LaBombard and sons from AIP we knew nobody could hold a candle to them. This huge project with the house laid bare inside to make new spaces took place while we were away. That is how much entirely warranted trust we placed in AIP’s abilities. With a few trips home for important consultation and many Skype meetings and shared Google docs, everything was completed to perfection and to schedule. AIP are detail-oriented, skilled and knowledgeable, great at communication, and so swift at grasping one's intent. They worked hard to meet our budget, had spot on answers to every question we had, and in every aspect of this project they exceeded all expectations. And the cherry on top is that they are such thoroughly nice people. To have that combination of outstanding skill sets and absolute sterling character is a rare and special thing. We are scratching around for another project just to work with them again!

Wow is all we can say. Jeff, Mike and Bill were amazing. So friendly, professional and quick. Even the plumber they used, Mike was great. They went above and beyond for us and we are so grateful for them. We highly recommend these guys and have been telling all of our friends and family to hire them ! Now my husband can shower safely and comfortably !

AIP is the best. The firm's work team is professional, friendly, and very interested in working with the client to ensure the bathroom we envisioned became a reality. Couldn't be happier with our experience(s) with AIP. The bathroom was completely renovated; new sink, toilet, tear out the old combination bath/shower and replace it with a tiled shower stall

Everything was done very professionally. We had mitigating circumstances (someone with compromised immune system in the family) and all were careful and courteous with regard to this. The finished job is beautiful! Carpenters, tilers, and painters were conscientious and worked efficiently.

The crew was very professional. They were very easy to work with and didn’t hesitate to ask questions which was greatly appreciated. We had Kitchen and Dining room remodeled with all new cabinets and counter tops. The basic foot print didn't change much, but there was some electrical and plumbing for new fixtures. The quality was great, on budget and there were no delays due to AIP. Materials were either purchased directly or through a Kitchen Designer and we did have some delays due to material deliveries. So cost reflects mostly labor.

The work was done extremely professionally. Quality of the work was excellent and everything was done in a timely manner. We were kept abreast of timeline and any problems encountered. I continue to use this company because of their responsiveness, quality of work and cost compared to other local companies.

It went very well. Jeff and Mike and their crew were so easy to work with. They were friendly, respectful, knowledgeable and professional! They always kept us abreast of what they were doing and what was next. Whenever I didn't understand why they were doing something a certain way they answered my questions in a way I would understand. And it always made sense. They always left the work area and pathways to the work area clean!

The Aging in Place crew came and helped us remodel our 100 year old home. They did such an amazing job of keeping the old character that we wanted and using it in new and modern ways in our home. Jeff and Mike were so incredibly easy to work with and they were always a phone call away. When we were coming up with initial designs, they were very honest about what would and would not work, and they were always willing to go out of their way to find innovative ways to incorporate the things we wanted most in our home. We have heard countless horror stories from people building or remodeling a home using other companies, but we honestly cannot say one bad thing about this company. Their attention to detail is incredible, and the craftsmanship of their crew is phenomenal. From beginning to end, they made our remodel smooth, quick, and the outcome is just absolutely breathtaking.

Long, but good. We had lots of back and forth about the design, on-site discussions, and several drawings before we ever signed a contract. All professional, well thought out, and frequently with just the right amount of good humor. While it seemed expensive, the number of people involved and the amount of materials were impressive. They did innovative footings to keep from concreting my whole back yard and covered it all with zero maintenance materials. They built the new deck enough higher that my wife can roll into the back door in her wheelchair. AIP's subcontractors were expert and friendly. Materials arrived quickly and they made sure the ramp was usable ahead of my wife's ankle surgery. None of the crew used any bad language and everybody seemed to get along. When the building inspector asked for some additional railings near the top of the ramp, they offered me choices, and charged no additional money for the time and materials to add four sections of railing with balusters.

Wonderful!! Two times we left the men of this company alone to do their promised work while we were on vacation. We could not be any happier with the work, the professionalism or the honesty shown by all of sub contractors and men of AIP.

It went fantastically well! Aging in Place Builders (AIP) were in my home for approximately four months and I was delighted to see them every day they arrived and missed their presence whenever they had other work to attend to. In the end, it was not only the quality of their work that impressed me, but the way they treated me as a customer throughout the process. I cannot say enough good things about AIP. From start to finish they were thoroughly professional. When they first visited me to take a look at the project I had in mind, I was immediately struck by how carefully they listened to me. They did not have pre-conceived notions of what I should do or try to steer me in a direction I didn't want to go. When I had an idea that they might have reservations about, they always would call my attention to considerations I hadn't thought about, which I very much appreciated. They never diminished any idea I might have, however cockeyed it might be. In several cases, they would go beyond what I imagined was the best way to do something to do it in a more finished way. For example, they installed wainscotting in a bathroom and the kitchen and created dados in the baseboard and chair rail to better hold the wainscotting, something that would never have occurred to me. When the painting sub-contractor arrived, he carefully filled all of the little openings between the wainscotting and the baseboard before painting, so there were no gaps when he was finished. In fact, another aspect of their work that I appreciate is that they hired sub-contractors who possessed the same high standards for quality and customer service that they do. I trusted AIP completely and without reservation to work in my home when I was not there. I gave them a key to my house so they could come and go as they needed, whether I was home or not. They were unfailingly neat and tidy, cleaning up impeccably at the end of each work day. They worked with as little disruption to the rest of my home as possible. They were cheerful and friendly and when more than one was working they seemed to work very well together. There was absolutely no bickering and even very little in the way of casual, personal chit-chat. They were all business. The only breaks they ever took were for lunch around mid-day. Otherwise, while they were at my home, they were always working. In addition, they always communicated with me about what was going on and what the next steps would be, using email, voice and text. They responded promptly to any inquiries I might have. Whenever they had a question about something, they would check with me before proceeding to ensure that they were doing it the way I wanted it done. They did not make decisions about such things without consulting with me first. I recommend AIP with great confidence and without qualification to anyone considering a home improvement project, no matter how big or small. I will hire them in a heart-beat, when I have another home improvement project. It's wonderful to know that in our valley we have a company with such high standards for their quality of workmanship and their development of strong personal relationships as Aging in Place.

I was worried that the process was going to be taxing for me, because I need so much rest and quiet. But these are very courteous people, who listen to clients’ needs. They have experience with clients who have neuromuscular diseases, and it shows in their respectful and caring attitude, while they maintain their high standards of professionalism. The addition is now finished and we are all moved in. I can just walk from the kitchen to go to bed. Everything is built as designed and planned. And the budget and costs were always clear and did not vary much at all from the original estimate. Variances were due to items we added. We have no regrets and feel very fortunate to have found them. They are easily the best contractors we have worked with at our house we have owned for 21 years.

Beautiful! We are loving it. Once the job was started they came every day until completed (approx. 7 days) Each day they cleaned up after themselves and always told us when they would arrive the next day. We did not have a new toilet installed so we always had a functioning toilet. A second shower/bathroom in the renovated basement provided for shower needs.11

Project went well - ramps are effective and functional, meld into the existing decor seamlessly. Returned quickly to install bar above ramp to provide additional stability.  Grab bars in bath allow my spouse to remain at home.  It went very well!

Their work is superb and finishes are trim and clean. Work is completed most efficiently and in the beginning they were great in helping us define what we wanted without taking over the project and leaving the homeowners with something we didn't want.  Communication was great throughout the project. We have had two projects completed by AIP Builders and look forward to them coming back for the next project.

They did an amazing job - can't say enough how happy we are that we chose to work with them.  This was our first renovation project and we heard all the horror stories of problems with contractors.  Our gut instinct was to place a priority on picking a team that were good honest people that we could trust.  Quality of work was also important, but second to trustworthiness.  What we experienced was the best of both worlds - wonderful, honest people to work with and beautiful, expert craftsmanship.  Furthermore, they take great pride in their work and have a very high standard for any subcontractors they work with.  They amazed us in their ability to work well with subcontractors and scheduling, getting things done on time.  They are also fun to work with and have a great sense of humor.  The costs were fair (all we had hoped for), and certainly lower than some other area contractors we interviewed.  Of course we went over our initial budget (as most house projects do), but entirely because of changes we made along the way after the initial estimate/contract.  They were also not afraid to tell when they thought we might be wasting our money on something or if we could do something just as nice but in a less expensive way.  They are great at maintaining the character of a house - in some of the new work they did, they made it seemlessly fit in to the rest of the older house.  They were also able to reuse a lot of old materials (wood paneling, doors) in the house and repurpose them for other uses - maintaining the same feel and saving on materials cost.  They were also good about checking in with us throughout the building process and giving us cost updates.  As I said before, we give them the highest recommendation and look forward to working with them on future projects.

Once they got started, I was very impressed by the quality and timeliness of AIP's work. All of the workers on the job were professional, respectful, and hard at work. They seem genuinely interested in helping people in their community, specifically offering specialized advice for what was best for my mother and would enable her to continue living in her home for years to come.

I will certainly use AIP Builders in the future, and will be recommending them to friends. I was glad I chose AIP because I was able to get top-level work done, while supporting a local family business.

They're good. They were thoughtful, thorough, and dependable and they did excellent work. They did what they said they'd do in the time frame they said they'd do it in. They're the best. It's hard to find someone who specializes in this kind of thing.
