Very smooth and professional. Pumped the tank and performed a basic inspection as part of the service. Answered my one question easily too.

Everything went smoothly. They were able to find the outlet for the sump pump to ensure it wasn’t damaged. Yard looks great.

Northboro Septic Service exceeded the wildest expectations one would have of "your average contractor", I felt like I owed them a review. They showed up on time, completed the job on time, every single person who worked on site was; professional, polite, and really really cared. They had less than a $1000 variation of the quoted price (I was forewarned it was a possibility), stayed on top of closing out the permits, worked really well with the town and the engineering firm and to top it all off, was about $20,000 cheaper than the closest other bid. My property had protected wetland and a lot of mature trees in the area where the leaching field should be, so there was extra work to be done such as siltation barriers and cutting down and removing a lot of trees. There were also a lot of boulders and rocks underground. Once the job was done, they beautifully landscaped with the boulders as I asked, hand picked the remaining rocks (and beautifully repaired my stone fence with them!!!), nicely graded and seeded a lawn as per the contract. Six months later, they came to remove the siltation barriers and another eight months later, immediately responded to a distress call I made because my septic alarm went off. So there... that is my experience with Northboro Septic Service!

Extremely happy. They are professional, responsive, answer phones, return calls, provide estimates, etc. They were able to accommodate fast schedules and the work was done on time and on budget. They did everything they said they would do and the work looks great. Big enough to get the job done and small enough to care about each customer. In addition, the owner of the company is available when needed.

Very well. First time using them and they found the tank quickly. Performed the pumping efficiently and replaced the grass neatly. Spoke to the service person afterward and he gave me a good description of the condition of the tank and the solids level.

It started off very well with the first team sent out to do the title five. They called as expected and were very kind and professional. The gentleman that pumped the septic was great. The second team that came to do needed work to pass our title five was less than stellar and left us with a mess. We made ONE phone call to the office and Teresa said a supervisor Kenny would call me and within MINUTES Kenny called and assured me all would me taken care of. A work day later a very nice gentleman came out as promised and took care of everything. Teresa then called to follow up on the job. We are completely pleased with not only the job but the way it was handled.

Great. This is an exceptional company. They were meticulous at diagnosing the problem, making arrangements with all the necessary people and delivering as promised. They even told us about funding that we might be eligible for and worked with us to get all the necessary information to the appropriate parties. If there was a question during the installation process, they would stop what they were doing to ensure that our questions were answered satisfactorily. The included shutting down equipment so we could hear the conversations! We never felt like we were interfering or bothering anyone. Each and every person we dealt with was highly professional. Our system was repaired in November and we were given the option of having the lawn repaired immediately or waiting until spring. We chose to wait until the spring. They arrived as soon as a lawn could be installed in the spring (after the threat of freezing had passed and installed a beautiful lawn. We highly recommend this company.

I was pleased with courteous and professional service during initial Title V inspection. Price was competitive, and they did a great job cleaning up the site-- tarp beneath dirt piles, careful replacement of sod. We decided to have them also perform a repair on the system.

Their second team was courteous and nice, but I discovered a mess when I looked at the site. Grass sod had been buried at the bottom of the hole, with large rocks and the pieces of the old system (YUCK!) on the TOP of the site. Machine tracks everywhere. No tarp had been put down this time, so there was dirt everywhere, killing existing grass.

When I called them about the mess, they seemed to not understand why I would want things smoothed out and sod replaced. They reluctantly offered to send their landscaper back, but by then I didn't trust the situation to someone who didn't seem to care. We needed to show house for sale soon!

So they are capable of good work, and all very nice, but are extremely inconsistent with how they'll leave the site-- and what's work, appear to be clueless about what that means to a property owner.

"Hello [Member Name Removed], Thank you for taking the time to write this review, good or bad we appreciate our clients feedback. I have looked into your case and it does appear that the site was not left in as great of a condition as it was at the time of the inspection, the main reason for this is that the digging portion of the inspection was done with hand shovels, where as the installation of your distribution box had to be done with a mini excavator in order to excavate the area around the old box and replace it with a new one. This machine will certainly leave tracks on your lawn and definitely have an effect on your sod. This exact situation is referenced in the contract you signed weeks prior to the service, where we state we are not responsible for landscaping. I apologize if this wasn't explained to you properly. The pieces of the "old system" left behind that you are referencing are actually pieces of your old deteriorated distribution box that fell apart as it was removed - this is typical of decayed pre-cast components in any application, not just septic systems. If they are substantially large they should not have been left on top of the site, instead buried in the ground; sometimes the pre-cast is reduced to the size of pebbles and this would be difficult to remove by hand. Either way we apologize for this nuisance. We do understand why you would want the site to be smoothed out and the sod replaced but unfortunately that was not part of the contract you signed, rather it specifically points that out in order to alarm you of what the landscaping situation will be like once we leave the site. This makes it difficult for us to allocate time and resources for the additional service that you requested that was not originally included in your contract, which is why you felt we were reluctant to return to the site. Even so, both our records and yours indicate that we did offer to pull our landscaper off a full septic system installation site and send him to your property in order to make things right, which you denied. Lastly, we do care. We do know what it is like being a homeowner, especially one with a sale of a home on the line. This is all evident by the reviews below yours, the volume of title 5 inspections we do yearly, and simply by the fact that we offered to send out a member of our team to clean up the site when we could just have stuck by the contract. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you."

Curtis Septic Services were very professional.  I called in the morning to schedule an appointment and they came out the same day in the afternoon.  They called ahead 30 minutes to let me know where they were at and that they were on their way.  Bob the technician was very friendly and explained the whole process.  He found the cap of my septic tank easily as they were not marked in the first place.  The whole operation was very fast and they cleaned up very well.  Very happy with the service.  Will use again.

I have lived in the town of Sudbury since 1981. The town does does not have town sewerage and everyone is on their own septic system. Recently I started having some issues with my system and because it was so old it needed to be totally replaced. Over the years I have done business with a lot oh the local companies who pump out and repair these systems. I contacted Curtis/Nortboro septic and from day one they have been the most professional and customer service orientated contractor I have dealt with regarding septic issues. The owner, Andy Curtis, has a great staff who cares about you and they have been with him for many years. Andy himself came to my home right away when I called and sat with me to help me through what could have been a stressful  process. I highly recommend Andy and his staff for any septic problems from a yearly pump out to minor and major repairs. Curtis/ Nortboro Septic turned what could have been a stressful repair into a pleasant experience, Again I say you MUST  try them!

Exceeded my expectations. This is a very professional firm, which is not, IMO, not what you often find in the Septic business. They answered all my technical questions before installing the box, which had corroded and deteriorated. They delivered on what they promised. They used a lightweight BobCat backhoe which left no footprint on my lawn which I greatly appreciated and they did a great job cleaning up. You would not know they were there. They were clearly very knowledgeable about state septic regulations. Their communications were always excellent. I could not be happier. I would recommend them without any reservations.

Excellent.  Well worth the price.  The technician cleaned BOTH flues and left no mess behind.

"Hello [Member Name Removed], While we do appreciate the review this is not a service we provided for you, we do not want to mislead our potential customers as we do not service any flues, furnaces, etc. We did however pump out the septic tank at your property on October 23, 2015. We appreciate your business very much and look forward to your next service."

I called owner Andy Curtis to ask about designing a plan to care for our septic tank while my wife is undergoing chemo therapy treatment. Andy was patient and thoroughly explained the risk to the system as a result of the influence of the introduction of the chemo and the destruction of the bacteria as a result. He arrived shortly after my call and began a prescribed care plan. Andy has cared for our system for years, was extremely knowledgable about the associated risks of our current situation, personable in his approach, and immediately responsive. We are fortunate to have him provide his services to us. We trust him completely and know he will handle us with professional care. You can not get a more informed septic service care provider or one that you can trust

Dean contacted the electrician for us and went above and beyond to help us make it through the next four days until the electrician could come out. Dean accessed the tank, pumped the system, and replaced the turf so you never would know he was there.  Great job!  Inspite of having an afternoon appointment with us the electrician showed up in the morning while we were at work and I had to make arrangements for him to access the basement.  Electrical repairs were made($600) without pumping the 2nd tank: I would have preferred to have the tank pumped in order to assess all the electrical parts( ie. switches, junction box) while the tank was open especially since I had to bury the tank again.
