They did a great job. They were respectful and they did the cleaning work.

Mr Gomes and his team did a great job. He gave us a detailed quote which listed everything that was included and the items we needed to cover ourselves. The work he did included: - Demo entire bathroom, including a massive Jacuzzi tub - Move plumbing to new configuration - New electrical wiring and outlets - Sheetrock and cement board - Tile walls and floor. Paint walls and trim. - Install electric heated floor - Build two partial walls - Install vanity, tub, toilet - Install ceiling fan, lights, mirrors, towel warmer, wall heater, recirculating water pump - Build a full hight closet There were a few delays waiting for inspectors. Mr Gomes and his subcontractors were always on time. He was juggling other jobs, but was always able to get his guys to our project when they needed to be there. They did work a Saturday to stay on track. Every worker that Mr Gomes brought into our house was competent, friendly and hard-working. The subcontractors he used were long-time business partners, they obviously had a very good relationship. Each crew member was courteous and very conscious that the project was disruptive to us. They went above and beyond what was in our contract. They handled lots of little details that we didn't even think of. The work was performed with great care and our bathroom is beautiful. Mr Gomes is the BEST contractor we have ever worked with and will get all future jobs from us.

We wanted three rooms painted, walls, trim and ceiling, and some cracks and holes repaired.

On the first day, Mr Dioclecio Gomes brought over Osvaldo and Eddie, two brothers who were going to do the painting.

Eddie and Osvaldo were talkative and friendly. They took a few minutes to look at the job, we pointed out some cracks in the 100 year old plaster walls that we wanted repaired and discussed other small details about the work. They also asked some "get to know you" questions and then got to work bringing in their equipment.

The first thing they did was block off the rooms they were going to work in with sheets of plastic, and roll out a protective paper covering for the floor.

We were in an adjoining room doing other things and heard them talking on the phone to their friends as they worked. I checked up on them occasionally and they were making good progress, so I concluded that they could do a good job while chatting with friends and family. At lunch, they very politely asked if they could heat their lunch in our microwave oven. Even though we granted them full access to everything, every day they still asked if it was okay.

We have had painters in our house before. But never before have we seen painters to as thorough a job of preparing the walls before they started rolling on the colors. These guys found cracks we didn't know existed. They excavated each, digging little v-shaped channels in the plaster following the course of the crack. These are real lath and plaster walls, not drywall, and this was the first time we had seen painters treat them properly - others had just slapped on drywall joint tape and mudded the joint, which came apart again in a year or two.

Their next step was to plaster up the cracks. After this dried, they scraped and sanded the walls flat. Then they applied a skim coat over everything and sanded that down. This whole preparation process took three days.

By the end of the third day, they had a coat of primer on everything. The following day, they sprayed all the woodwork with semi-gloss and got the first coat of the wall colors up. On the last day, they finished everything up.

At the end, they had us walk around and inspect the work. There were a few touchup requirements here and there which they took care of. One more walk through and this time it was perfect.

We expected to end up with our 100 year old walls with yet another coat of paint. What we got was a true restoration job with the walls returned to their original perfect condition.

Dioclecio visited every day, checking with his guys that everything was going as planned, and checking in with us to make sure we were happy with the progress. 

Osvaldo and Eddie are really nice guys and we were happy to have them in our house. We have some more work for Mr Gomes Remodeling later this year and are looking forward to having his talented, friendly team back in our home.

Mr. Gomes did a very great job on this project.  He was responsive and professional and got the job done on budget and on time.  The quality of the work was excellent.  We had 3 bedrooms remodeled to install insulation, ceiling fans, closets.  Very happy with everything.

Good overall. The job was done quite fast. The paint looked good, Mr. Gomes has an eye for paint colors that will flatter a house. The floors came out great, and the new porch looks like it should last a long time. There was a certain amount of upselling, and some details that I'd asked for seemed to be lost in the game of telephone.

I found Mr Gomes to be a breath of fresh air in terms of my dealings with him compared to many contractors.
He has a good breadth of knowledge regarding home construction and repair and was able to address the issues I had promptly and efficiently. He came when he said he would come, provided an accurate and fair assessment and did the work with a high degree of quality and craftsmanship.
He had been referred to me by a co-worker who recommended him to me highly and I was quite pleased overall. I give him high marks and recommend him as well.

Mr. Gomes responded quickly. He explained what he thought was causing the water damage. He made several suggestions and discussed solutions and preventive measures. He started the work quickly and his diagnosis appeared to be accurate based on what he found after tearing away clapboard. He repaired the damage quickly and efficiently and cleaned up the mess completely. We are very satisfied with his responsiveness, promptness, his prices and the quality of the work.

Mr. Gomes and his crew remodeled the kitchen/breakfast room (new tile floor, granite counters, tile backsplash, under cabinet lighting), master bathroom (new tile/glass walk-in shower, tile floor, granite countertop, sinks, toilet, painted vanity cabinets and walls/doors) and a second full bath (new tile floor, granite countertop, sinks, toilet).  Mr Gomes works with his crew much of the time.  He and his crew are honest, friendly, professional and punctual.  He employed some subs (plumbing, electrical, plaster) who were all also very good.  His prices are competitive.  He does ask that the customer directly purchase tile, grout, fixtures and have them available before the start of the job; it is important to fully understand what he will be providing himself under the contract versus what the customer is responsible for.  We did this (we had to select these items anyway) and the work proceeded rapidly with no significant interruptions.  Mr Gomes was very responsive and flexible to any needs during the project, even if it meant some extra work on his part.  We are extremely pleased with how these projects turned out (lots of "Wow's!" from people that have seen them) and have since recommended him to others.

Provider was very accommodating to my schedule for estimates.  Even showing up after 6:30pm one evening. He also had to drive 40+ minutes to get to my location. Mr.Gomes worked within my budget to fit all my repairs in.  Even reusing existing material to save on cost per my request.  He and his team showed up on Memorial Day to do all the repairs. It took the entire day but they completed.  Three Days later the house/deck were painted and the job was complete.
