I was very, very happy with the work done on the floor: the person who did the tile work did a beautiful and neat job. Unfortunately, the marblestone surround for the did not really fit properly, due ti seems to the bathroom walls being old, uneven etc. I wish I had known this at theoutset as I would not have had this work done in this manner. Clean up was less than stellar and I am still needing to repiace some holes left in the wall where an old vanlity was taken out. John did a good job of ripping stuff out: clean up and execution fair. Perhaps with a newer home this project would have gone better. I do appreciate the fact that as I had only one bathroom the work was done in 3 days time.

They listen to our suggestions and what we wanted. He had his ideas and was very willing to compromise. He was flexible, had his own good suggestions, and so forth. We had a drawling done ahead of time by someone else then we sort of modified to make it look more like what we wanted.

They removed the old items and replaced them with quality products. They were professional, knowledgeable, and kept to the time frame that we discussed. Their price was also very reasonable.

Quick response to inqury, detailed quotation with discussion of all points and requirements, reasonable price, easy personal relationship with contractor, full clean up.
UNFORTUNATELY A MAJOR FAULT HAS SINCE BECOME APPARENT IN THE WORK DONE WHICH SO FAR THE CONTRACTOR HAS FAILED TO CORRECT.

excellent, we had drafted a sketch of our project that involved some old walls coming down, new walls going up, new doors through out the house, repairing water damage .... the only cons - the duration of the project and some of the tile work is not perfect, but they did a great job matching up the decorative stripes in the tub to the trim and helpful suggestions for cost savings and getting the look we wanted the project took a long time, but the work is excellent, John and Mike thought of some creative solutions to some problems that arose definitely would use him again!

He was efficient, on time, but I would not hire his plumber again. The plumber he utilized damaged my tub. I hired the plumber for replacing the faucets, and he came to my home physically sick which made me sick, the flu for three weeks. When he departed, I noticed he damaged my tub. We also had an issue with the glass door installation which is a different company and has been resolved. I pointed out the damage on the tub when John came back out to meet with the glass installers, but nothing was done. I think that there is not a remedy for fixing it. It was a very expensive whirlpool bathtub and I am not sure how it will be fixed. He never pointed it out, I had to find it like that. General contractor was fine, tile was fine, but would not hire this company again if using this same plumber. When he installed the new plumbing on my Roman tub, the handheld shower device was missing a component which I also had to figure out on my own. It was sitting poorly in the socket which is why I noticed it in the first place. The price was reasonable.

The bathroom is finally completed. Just Bathrooms is a one man operation, he uses subcontractors to do the majority of the work. He ripped out the bathroom and pretty much disappeared. Most weeks he spent and hour or two at my home. Some weeks he did not show up at all. I do not believe he is licensed, could not find him either under his name or his company name in the State of Mass contractor directory. (I know, I should have checked BEFORE I hired him) What should have been a three week job took ten weeks. Not certain if it is because he is very busy, or because he does not have the money to pay his subcontractors, Don't really care why; but want to be sure that Angie's list users do not hire him and have the same frustrating experience. Electrical sub performed a part not to code, John tried to talk my husband into fixing it for him, said he would provide the part. He accidently broke through my kitchen ceiling, he repaired it but the paint does not match. He half-heartedly offered to paint the kitchen ceiling, but then pointed out to me some other problems with the ceiling....I interpreted it to mean he wanted to charge me to repaint the ceiling. We decided not to make an issue of of it because we wanted him out of our house forever. If you hire him: 1. Do not give him money up front.(if you do, make it a very small % of the total) 2. Put a definitive timeline in writing with a financial penalty for not completing on time. 3. Don't let him give you allownaces, he will nickle/dime you. The work was completed, but Just Bathrooms is unreliable and unprofessional. I do not recommend this company.

Let me provide some perspective. We bought our house and totally remodled it over a 5 year period. So we have dealt with all kinds of contractors. We are careful who we hire and usually give them good reviews. We like to hire professionals who are attentive to detail. This company (Just bathrooms) did not measure up. Didn't even come close. John is dependent on sub-contractors and although he makes promises - he can't deliver on time - because he can't get his sub-contractors to meet his timeline. He also tries to cut corners. For example - he promises a tile guy who is excellent - but he tries to cut corners by doing most of the tile work himself and hiring his tile guy for the least amount of time possible. That is not consistent with what he promises when you sign the contract. We wanted to get this job done ASAP since we were expecting our first child and thought we could pull this off in time before the baby arrives (we were wrong). We got 5 estimates. The only reason we hired John was because he promised that he was a one-stop solution. I didn't have to get other contractors (like a glass company etc) and he was willing to start immediately. Almost everything he said he would take care of - he didn't follow through. We had to do it ourselves if we wanted it done. Let me say this. He is nice. Friendly (mostly). Clean. But in our opinion - unprofessional (which is what mattered to us). He means well - but is not professional in the way he conducts his business and in what he delivers. There is no attention to detail. If I wanted something changed - instead of going out of his way to keep the customer happy - he would argue why his way was right. What bothered us was the I had to keep calling and asking for updates. I had no idea when was the stauts of the project or when was his next visit. He kept us guessing all the time. And 4 weeks after he said he would have the the glass delivered - he says he can't finish it (I had to call - he didn't call) - becuase he can't supply the glass (which is why we hired him in the first place). His sub-contractor was not willing to do the job. So a job that should have taken 3 to 5 weeks is still not complete (we are nearing 3 months since he first started). We stopped dealing with him and hired 2 other cotnractors to complete the job he was supposed to do - which meant more time, more money and a lot of frustration. We will never hire this company again.

Bathroom was stripped to the studs and redone, including moving one wall. Worksmanship was good, and we are very pleased with the result. People were easy to work with. Only negative is that it took longer than expected, because of delays in getting some materials, which could not be avoided, plus some structural complications.

Being a single mother, I was very concerned who I brought into my home. Right from the first meeting, I felt very comfortable with John. He was polite, well spoken and very knowledgeable. Just Bathrooms gutted my bathroom and started from scratch. From plastering the walls, all new plumbing and electrical, new tile floor, new tub, new tiles on shower walls, new vanity, recessed lights, etc. John was always on time, understanding that my time was just as valuable as his. His subs were also top of the line, especially his assistant Mike. Mike was very professional and friendly. My house was always left clean and picked up. I would recommend Just Bathrooms to everyone. I already have plans to use them again to replace all my interior doors. For all the horror stories you hear about contractors and remodeling, this went flawlessly from start to finish.

We had a great experience with this company as "most" of the other's comments indicate you should as well. Professional, quality workmanship, highly recommend their services.

Based on excellent reviews on Angie's List, I contacted Just Bathrooms. John K., the owner, immediately contacted me and within a day had met with me and provided an initial estimate. This was refined slightly and contracts signed a couple of weeks later. The price was $34,500 and included everything except tile, towel racks, toilet paper holders and wall sconces. These added approx. $3,500 to the project. Also, John provided an allowance of $600 for each bathroom for sink and shower/tub fixtures and toilet. This really wasn't enough; the total additional cost of these for both bathrooms was about $1,300.00. John does not have a showroom, so we had to do all the shopping on our own (e.g., tile, fixtures, countertops, vanities, etc.). Once we had decided, John did the ordering and pick-up. We scheduled the project to begin in early August; however, when that date arrived John asked to delay the start for about three weeks because of other work. The renovation began at the end of August. John estimated that it would take about 3 weeks per bathroom, for a total of 6 weeks. In fact, it took just over 10 weeks (not including the additional time for the custom shower door to arrive). The length it took to complete, I believe a number of renovation projects were being juggled at the same time; was our only serious "complaint." Overall, we were very pleased with the quality of the completed renovation. John was very responsive throughout the project. Special recognition goes to Mike, his lead carpenter who was a great craftsman and problem-solver. Other than Mike and his assistant, John uses subcontractors. With one exception, they were all excellent too: electrician, tiler, plasterer. The one exception was the plumber, who made several mistakes and complained when he had to return to fix them. Overall, we were very pleased with Just Bathrooms, recommend them, and would use them again.

He's not licensed or insured and his coupon says that he is. He told the inspector that he used greenboard where in reality he did not. I like the bathroom but I was the one who designed it all. It took him 4 months when it was only a project of about 4 weeks because he wasn't able to get a permit since he didn't have a license. He ended up borrowing the license of someone who never even came on the project to get the permit. He also charged me 18,500 but told the inspector that he was charging me 17,000. At least I haven't had any problems with the bathroom in the last 6 months.

I have nothing but great things to say about John. He is honest, trustworthy and very accommodating. The quality of work was fantastic. There was a delay with the town permits but once that was done, John was very diligent in getting the job done quickly. He was at the house every day until the job was completed. John and Mike are great guys and I would definitely work with them again.

Several years ago, I had my kitchen remodeled and the contractor I used made a couple of mistakes along the way. When it was time to have my bathroom remodeled, I made sure I did my homework by reading books and carefully interviewing all contractors. Angie's List was a big help. I hired John due to his positive feedback reports from other clients. I had some specific ideas in mind and John was able to follow through on them and also give other ideas along the way. John was always courteous and punctual. When he said he would be there or call, he was. He made sure to always get my opinion to make sure the work he was doing was what I actually wanted. He had ordered all of the cabinets, toilet, tub, mirror and even picked up things that I ordered such as the floor tile. So it was pretty much 1-stop shopping. I knew I wanted a Corian counter and tub deck/wall surround so I hired that person separately. John worked hard scheduling "his" workers around the Corian worker. Great around kids.

John was great. Came to look at the job two days after we called, showed up right on time, spent about an hour with us and left us with a quote that was very competitive. Once we agreed to go ahead, he started a few days later, right when he said he would and finished on time, and on budget. All of his subs were just as good and as diligent as John. The bathroom looks fantastic. As far as my experience with contractors go, John is truly unique in that he is diligent and he cares.

John is one the best contractors I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He returns calls right away. His pricing is very fair and straight forward. The quality of his work, along with that of all his sub-contractors, was excellent. John was open to suggestions, offered great advice on many things during the process, and best of all he shows up when he says he will and always gives a call if he is going to be the slightest bit late. Our bathroom was basically not usable before he started the work and now it is like a bathroom you would find at a top notch spa! We could not be happier with the results and the work Just Bathrooms did.

Overall, we were very happy with the job John and his crew did for us. John called us back the day we called and came that same evening to discuss the project. John is extremely nice to deal with, and his crew is courteous and clean up after themselves daily. John helped with decisions all along through the process and picked up much of the hardware and components. John's cost estimates were on target. John was very accommodating when we chose a larger shower stall than originally intended (after we saw how small it would be). He has a reasonable selection of granite/marble vanity tops that would be included in the estimates, but we chose a more expensive granite vanity top that suited our tastes. We were responsible for choosing and buying the tile. Timing estimates were good. John did state that the shower glass installation would be four to six weeks "after" they finished all the other work, but I did not listen as carefully as I should have.

John started when he promised. The destruction process went quickly, and the house remained pretty clean. John offered advice throughout the process and helped us with all the decisions in picking out stuff for the bathroom. He helped with everything. He picked up most everything we needed. This was a real plus for people who are pretty stressed for time. The choices all worked out pretty well too. We were amazed how easy it was to make decisions for this project. We had never remodeled anything before, but we tend to agonize over a lot of less permanent decisions. John was very considerate and reliable. His sub-contractors did good work too (plumber, electrician, and tile person). The project stayed on budget. It took a little longer than we planned, but overall it worked out really well.
