Barry is no longer a plumber and should be removed from Angie's List ASAP. This is misleading. Barry replaced a water heater in 2016. Unit failed already, and his team installed an expansion tank on the hot side which caused a premature leak from the valve.

Barry made my job a concern and priority and came to my house the same day to give me an estimate. He was able to fit the job in the very next day so I was only without hot water for one day. His work was done quickly and he was extremely informative, also polite. I lucked out when I chose him.

Amazingly Barry responded by 2:30 PM (I think - I wasn't really watching the clock) and although it was not entirely straightforward and took a couple of hours, which was more than he expected he replaced the sink, anchored it under the counter better than it was before the change, sealed the edges, tested everything, and all was well. Fabulous response, excellent work. Had only used Barry once before but he sure made me feel like an important customer and took excellent care of me. Will certainly call him again for anything I need - hopefully with a little more warning!

Very prompt and excellent service

I had a terrible last experience. He came to do 6 small jobs. He made 1 problem worse, couldn't fix 2 of the problems, and never came back to swap out the replacement toilet flapper that he charged me for. He promised me a refund for the toilet job but I never got the check. And he was really rude about it. Barry helped us out last summer with our hot water heater and he was great. But based on my last job, I would NOT recommend him.

Wonderful! Barry worked quickly and efficiently, explained how the new disposal worked (and how to unjam it, if that should happen), and tested everything. Also very important - he actually ANSWERED THE PHONE when I first called him! I had left messages for three other plumbers who didn't respond for hours or days. When I called Barry, he answered, asked me a few questions about what I needed, made a couple of suggestions about what I should purchase, and scheduled the appointment. I've used a couple other plumbers in the past, but will definitely call Barry again if/when I need a plumber.

Barry Lyons is the consummate professional - prompt, courteous, neat, efficient, knows his stuff for a fair price!

Barry just left our home and I am extremely pleased with the entire
transaction. He was able to squeeze us in last minute when the pipe to
our water tank sprung a leak. From the 1st time I called until he walked
out our door, he was knowledgeable, courteous, didn't mind our barking
dogs, got the job done in good time. We will definitely call him again
if we ever need a plumber.

Barry answered the phone at 9AM and a plumber, Geoff, was at my house at 11AM and he brought a new garbage disposal with him.  He also did some work on my faucet and was very competent and professional. Total cost including parts and labor was a very reasonable $245.

Great. He did an awesome job and spent the time to make sure it was done right.

Woke up Saturday morning to no heat.  Put in an emergency call to Barry.  He came on time and quickly began to diagnose
the problem in a systematic manner.  In the end, he got all three zones working properly.  He was polite, professional and more importantly, he had all the parts to fix the problem.  I highly recommend Barry!

Very grateful for Barry's willingness to come to our house on an emergency call to fix our hot water furnace.  Called Barry and a few  hours later he was at our house.  He assessed the possible causes of the water coming out of the release valve, replaced the expansion tank and a few older valves.  Very impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, workmanship, and rates.  Exceptional and well deserving of the highest of ratings.

Being relatively new in the area, I have relied on Angie's List to find the various providers of service. Contacted Barry based on the reviews he has received and my experience with his services validates all the positive reviews he has received.  Barry was professional from start to finish.  He was extremely prompt in his communication.  Guided me efficiently in the selection of material. He came on time, finished the project on time. I have been extremely happy with the way project got completed. Wanted to post the review sooner but wanted to make sure that there no problems are surfacing post completion of the work. So far so good. Thanks a ton Barry.

We just moved into a new house and the shower head in the MBR corroded and broke leading to water running down into the kitchen.  This happened on a Monday morning, i called Barry and although they quite busy at the shop he had Jeff come by and do the repair.  All was done within an hour and a half of me calling, Jeff was great in the house and with the project, checked another bathroom for same issue while he was there.  Will be calling again for any future projects!
