Robert was conscientious about periodic updates during the entire refurbishing process which took 16 months. The piano's refinishing, done by Maggio's Custom Refinishing of Lowell, Ma., was delayed for many months. This delay was a source of frustration. Robert's portion of the project was to rebuild the sound board of the piano.
The piano was returned in December, 2014 . The piano is beautiful with a matte satin ebony finish. Several tunings of the piano have been conducted by Robert as the piano settles over a 6 month period.
Robert is a pleasure to work with and is knowledgeable of the intricate details of the piano. I would recommend him as a source for restoration although an abundance of patience is necessary when one's project is dependent on subcontractors for portions of the work.

Rob is terrific. We had originally asked him to evaluate this (used) piano before purchasing it ($75). Although the seller did the first tuning, Rob is now our official tuner. He spent more than an hour making sure it's in perfect shape, and it sounds perfect. He's friendly and will explain things if you want. He also took the time to answer my questions -- thoroughly, even though he wasn't getting paid for it -- about a friend's piano. And he didn't mind my toddler running in and out of the room, either. I'm pretty sure he tunes some (all?) of the Concord public elementary school pianos, which is a good recommendation too. If I had to come up with a complaint, it would be that he was a little late showing up, but he called to warn me that he was running behind.
