Dan Oliveira came by within a few hours and it was all fixed. What would I do without him? He walks on water as far as I am concerned. Love Oliveira Construction, they are the best.

I did some serious homework on the replacement roof for my house. This is MY ROOF, everything else depends on it. As a result, Dan Oliveira and his crew won me over completely. No one else even came close. --Oliveira Construction only uses the very best materials. I researched a lot beforehand. --Every document in the proposal was complete and accurate, (example: all the others included insurance certificates that were expired or incomplete--and of course I verified the certificate.). --Even though it was a 2 day job, they cleaned up and made sure the site was safe and secure on BOTH days. --The whole crew is "hands on". Dan and his partners have been together a long time--and are so nice! They are licensed and insured professionals. Now, get this, when Dan initially came out to meet with me, he pointed out a problem with my chimney so that I could take care of it before the new roof went on!!! Last, and this says so much, the very best builders in the area hire Oliveira Construction. Oliveira Construction is absolutely the best.

Went very smoothly. Showed up on time, would have completed on time except chimney in middle of roof needed to be completely reflashed, so had to get someone in to do it - and he did, the very next day, a Saturday. Oliveira showed up right after the flashing was completed (took several hours and completed this job) - on that same Saturday. In short, he did what we agreed to, no issues, made it convenient for me.
About 2 weeks later I had a limb come down and damage my new roof; I called Oliveira and he came out within the week and made the repair; it was not a big repair, so I thought the $75 charged for that was worth it as he did have to come out and make the repair.
Very satisfied.

They showed up at 7 am and prepped the property. They stripped the roof, reshingled and there was not a single nail left when they were finished. They were completely finished by 4 pm. The crew was extremely efficient and payed attention to detail. They did a phenomenal job.

Everything went as planned. I had a special request for the underlayment to be the breathable membrane rather than the standard tar paper; Dan Oliveira was more than happy to accommodate this request. The team showed up on schedule and got to work quickly. Roof was 99.5% finished on day 1 as promised; only area around chimney needed to be completed the next day after the chimney flashing needed to be completely redone, which Dan Oliveira handled immediately upon discovery of issue. House is 60 years old and when the old roof came off, the need for this extra effort was readily apparent. His mason made it the next day and redid the entire chimney flashing, which took about 6 hours; Dan showed up immediately after to complete the job. Nice to not have to worry about an unforeseen additional issue! Clean up was very acceptable; I had expected to find more remnants than I did - good job there. About two weeks after the instal, we had a heavy wet snowstorm which broke off many limbs from trees; one of the larger ones came down on the roof and damaged a few shingles. I called Oliveira to come out and repair the damage; Dan came out within two days and fixed the area so you can't tell there was a problem. The repair cost was about $100, which I found to be reasonable.

Tony is the owner of the company. He did the outside of the house and totally put the stucco and everything. It took him a little while to get it done but he did a great job. I was very happy with him. I can always get a hold of him. He has always done what he said he is going to do. He always shows up on time.

A couple of days before Dan came the mason releaded the chimney. Dan came in on a Tuesday morning and in two days strip the roof, replaced 3 skylights, replaced sheathing, repaired gutters, and resurfaced a flat roof and installed new copper trim. It was unbelievable they strip and replaced 41 squares of shingles plus all the other work in two day and left the places spotless. It been three weeks now no leaks and all my gutters drain properly. Out of the three bids I received he was the least expensive by 1500 dollars. I have hire a number of contrators in the past and Dan an his crew are among the best I have ever dealt with in 35 years. I have two homes and this is the 5 roof I've had installed in the last 35 years and by far the best job I have ever seen a roofer perform and still can not get over only two days.

They were very prompt. They were excellent in terms of service and professionalism. They cleaned up after themselves. They were reasonably priced too compared to the others. They were just excellent all around.

It took Dan almost 3 months from the time of estimate (April 6 '09) to show up for repairs (June 25 '09), when he originally said he could get it done in 2 weeks time (a one day job), he was finishing up other things. Granted, weather was not very cooperative spring into summer, so this delayed his work. But there were plenty of lovely days during this time. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because he was recommended by a friend (my husband and I had set up an intricate patchwork of towels in the attic to absorb water during this time), and estimate was fair, I thought. Weeks go by, I'd call him often to stay on it, just constant delays/excuses; I felt this job wasn't important to him, so I asked him if I should just get someone else, and he'd always reassure me he would be over as soon as he could, making it sound like SOONER rather than later. The 2 times he tried to come over, he'd call on Friday afternoon to set something up for the next day, Saturday (one of which was a holiday weekend!). I work Thursdays and Saturdays, which I told him from the very beginning. So, OK. He finally calls on a Wednesday to do the work on next day, Thursday, the weather is going to cooperate, and by this point I'm so desperate for it to get done, he'll do the repair while I am at work (did not need access to inside of house). Work completed in one day, got home from work as he was finishing up, looked nice from my vantage point. Paid him in full on spot. However, next rainfall, water came in, not as badly as before, but nonetheless left a damp spot in the interior wall of house where original leak was spotted. I called him about it; he said in a return phone message to me that his work was spot on, water must be coming in from some other breach, says call him back to discuss it, then finishes message by saying he noticed several wood shingles in tough shape while doing the repairs, something he NEVER bothered to tell me upon completion of his work. I called him again (always leaving a message, he rarely answered) I had hoped he could help me figure out what the problem was, I wanted closure with him on this. Ultimately, in the midst of his leaving a message on my machine, I run in the house to pick up the phone to talk to him, and as he hears me say "Hello?" he hangs up mid sentence, deciding not to finish his message/talk to me in person. I never bothered to call him back because, quite frankly, I was so sick of dealing with all the ridiculous excuses and delays. Not professional way to be, in my humble opinion.

They were very quick. They finished the work in one day. The estimate they gave was one of the best we received. After they finished the work we had some issues and they came back to check it. They followed up very well.

Dan instantly knew what the problem was. We haven't had a drop of water since, even during the deluges of May 2006.
