My Sony Trinitron 32" (KV 32S42) worked very well for 7+ years, but we needed to move it from one room to another. It is a very heavy TV (140 lbs) and had some 'bumps' in transit. When we plugged it in, there was sound, no picture, and the standby light flashed constantly. Hoping that there was a 'user friendly' fix, I tried a couple of internet services. Both services said a lead may have come loose in transit, and a repairman would have to look at it. A search site referred me to and other site. That is where I found Country Barn TV. I called Russ at Country Barn TV and discussed the situation at length. Some questions came up. He then looked up some info and called me back and we scheduled a repair time. He arrived promptly and went to work. He took the case off of the TV and he immediately looked at several circuit boards. He showed me cracks in the main board. We discussed repair options and I decided that it was too costly to repair the 7 year old TV.
