MODEL PAVING

To start, I am giving a 1 star rating because the driveway came out great. This is mainly based on what has happened over the last few weeks. My husband & I hired Model last year to do our driveway and it came out great! They told us that we needed to have it sealed in a year (2021). We called in late February/early March I guess. Someone came out & gave my husband a quote of $300 but if signed up (send a check) by March 30th we’d save $25. Okay great. I sent a check on March 22nd. In April we hadn’t heard from them so my husband called to see when they were coming out & to confirm they got our check. Yes, they got our check and were told they do seal coating the next month. Great. End of April, no word, beginning of May, no word. My husband tried calling and left a voicemail. No return call. He tried calling again, left voicemail. No return call. He called a few more times with no return calls. He called again spoke to a guy named Chris. My husband said Chris said he’s pulling into yard & will look at schedule and call back today or tomorrow. That was over two weeks ago. My husband tried calling again, got a woman named Linda. She said I’ll have Chris call you. That never happened. We finally gave up and called AN AMAZING PAVING COMPANY with AWESOME customer service! My husband called Model to ask them to return our check, we decided to go with someone else. No response, voicemail left. He tried again, no response! Model has our check & because they cannot be bothered with calling us to confirm that our check will be returned, I am now left to put a stop payment on the check since this company HAS NO COURTESY AT ALL TO RETURN PHONE CALLS!! I understand you are busy but have the decency to call back! We tried to have you finish the job you started & you screwed that up big time! NEVER AGAIN!! I would NOT recommend them, their customer service sucks to say it nicely!!

What a horrible experience. During the sales process, Rob was very attentive. The job was poorly done. Not the width at the top we discussed. At one section of the driveway there was about section that runs 10-12' where there was a bump out or wave. The tore up the granite edging along sidewalk and never replaced it. I asked if they would cur a smooth edge where the driveway meets the sidewalk and they when with wherever the bobcat broke it. I called the sales guy (Rob/Bob) and he sent his crew back the next day or so and their solution was to take a saw to the 10-12' area to cut away the wave. Horrible! Since they could not guaranty that I would not see a seem where the driveway was not wide enough at the top, I was not going to pay $4,800 to have a patch job, so they could not resolve that error. That was in May. Now, three months later, I now have a 12-18' crack in the walkway that they also did. I have placed no less than 4 calls to the business. I did receive a call back during the evening hours and missed that call. I was directed to call Chris and I have called Chris back no less than 10 times; each time his mailbox was full. Absolutely a horrible experience and terrible customer service. Oh and I failed to mention that they left a patch of asphalt on my neighbors patch of grass by their sidewalk.

heard back.   The top coat layer was also very, very thin.  In general, very sloppy, poor quality, doesn't stand by their work and not even reliable.   Hopefully they will read this review and it will motivate them to consider their clients after the check has cleared.

Materials in written estimate greatly exaggerated what was actually installed. Sloppy work left multiple damages to lawns.  Contacted owner 3 times to return and repair missed areas - all unsuccessful. I guess written and promised warrantee will have to be enforced in court.
