About us

Flourishing Design offers custom fabricated window treatments, upholstery and Hunter Douglas blinds. Several brands of premium window hardware are available upon request. All projects are custom and fabricated to add a perfect aesthetic dimension to every home or commercial space. Mary McCormick works with every client to create the ideal window and upholstery design for them. Lead times average about four weeks from design consultation to fabrication and installation. A fifty percent deposit is required at time of order. Mary believes that her job is finished, when her clients love their window treatments and upholstered furniture.

I met Mary to discuss window treatments for a guest bedroom. She listened to my ideas and offered suggestions for the room. She gave me several options for fabric choices and did not stop until I was completely happy with the choice and the design of the window treatment. She outsources her installs but is personally present to oversee the final product. Mary is warm, knowledgable and has an incredible array of resources. I am already working with her on our Master bedroom project. Call Mary, you'll be very pleased!

I had seen Mary's work at a friends house and so I knew that when I was doing my windows and slipcover that I wanted to use her services. She responded promptly and was very friendly and professional. Mary came to my house, looked at the two rooms and listened to my ideas, likes/dislikes etc. She quickly figured me out and came up with a design proposal that was perfect! She has a way of putting fabric together that is both traditional and contemporary. My dining room is very traditional and I was trying to avoid boring and typical but stay mostly traditional at the same time. Mary managed to keep with that but give it that up-to-date kick that I would never have figured out. I Love it!!
Also, without much lead time Mary somehow had everything finished and installed for me by Thanksgiving!! I'm so happy with her work, she was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend Flourishing Design to all my friends.

She came to my home first to look around and give me some ideas and see what I wanted (I had some ideas but wasn't sure). Then she returned with some samples and spent a lot of time discussing options and taking measurements. She returned to do 2nd measurements to be safe and then ordered everything. Not everything came in together as expected so she had her installer come back another day to complete everything. He was wonderful too and even put up a picture, mirror, curtain and a couple other valances that I did not purchase through her. Can't say enough good things about both of them, especially since I was on a bit of a time crunch, trying to get it all done before my baby arrived!
