Armstrong Total Clean

I called Carol O'Leary after coming across her business on Angie's List. I left a message and she called me back immediately. I like that I didn't need her to come out to my house to get an initial quote - we just scheduled a time for a house cleaning. She called me the day before with a time to expect her cleaning crew and was very accommodating (I told her that I'd prefer after 2pm so it wouldn't interfere with my children's naps so she scheduled us for 2:30). Carol came with her crew of four women - all very pleasant. We walked through the house and I pointed out special areas to focus on and told them what they did and didn't need to clean. I left while they cleaned and when I came back the house smelled so clean! Bertie (the team leader) left me a nice check list that detailed what they had cleaned and the cost. The kitchen was spotless - they washed the floors, countertops, microwave inside and out, outside of fridge, sink/faucet, kitchen table. The living room was vacuumed and hardwood cleaned, dusted, side tables cleaned off. The bathrooms had the shower and tub spotless, vanities cleaned, floors washed and toilets scrubbed. The stairs were vacuumed and banisters dusted. The play room looked great - desk was cleaned off, kid's table polished and floor vacuumed. The master bedroom had the bed made, vacuumed and dusted. Overall, it was a great general cleaning and such a value compared to other quotes I received! I didn't have them clean my children's rooms because those didn't need much cleaning but they would've accommodated if necessary. I should note they bring all of their own supplies (although I did supply my own Bona mop and cleaner because I like that for my floors) and emptied all trash cans. Carol called me two days later to follow up and make sure I was satisfied. I'm thinking of hiring them for more regular cleanings because it was such a positive experience!

It was fantastic. They were fast and thorough. They were very polite and pleasant. They asked for my feedback. I would definitely use them again.

Carole responded to my initial call right away and gave me an estimate. She accompanied her crew of four women, introduced them all to me, and they were able to do a very thorough cleaning in two hours. I am very pleased and will be using them regularly. I was also impressed with Carole's system for ensuring that the customer is pleased, including a checklist they leave, citing everything that has been cleaned in each room, which the team leader inspects before they leave.

I utilized this service for about two years. I was very satisfied until about mid-way the second year. The cleaners would miss whole areas or rooms. For example, on two different occassions I came home to the kitchen floor not being mopped or my daughter's room being untouched. Another issue was if something was on the floor, it would not be picked up...just vacuumed or mopped around the item! Please understand my home would be quite picked up when they arrived so the fact that they couldn't pick one or two things up seemed absurd. When I called, Carol (the owner) about these issues, she was initially very understanding and would send the team back to re-do what had not been completed. However, after one issue after another with regards to thoroughness took place and the owner behaved unprofessionally (asking me over the phone when I called "I don't know what it is you want me to do")....I changed to a different cleaner.
