Since 1971, Cape Associates has served all of Cape Cod, Plymouth and the Islands as one of region’s largest custom builders. We were so impressed with the attention to detail, quality of work and professionalism of this organization and the contracted painting company, Planet Painters. There was a post job inspection to assure we were pleased. Probably what impressed us most was the amount of preparation prior to painting. Also pictures were taken before work was initiated so that nothing pointed out was omitted. We have three different areas to our house: very old, 14 years old and brand new. All parts were taken into consideration and treated accordingly.

Excellent. Progressed well under supervision of onsite person with regular visits from his boss. They were always responsive to my requests. They came on on time and only slightly higher than budget because I added amenities.

Best experience we ever had with a remodeling project. Chose them because they have a large staff of craftspeople who have been with them a long time, which we view as critical to coordinating a job and an indication of a well-run operation that can retain the best professionals.
They exceeded our high expectations. They did everything they could to complete the work in the shortest possible timeframe, which was a high priority for us, while delivering a high-quality product. The tile guy was a true artisan. Everyone with whom we interacted made sure to get our input before every decision so there was no rework and we got exactly what we wanted. It's clear to us that everyone cares about customer satisfaction and the company's reputation and long-term success.
Would definitely use Cape Associates again and recommend them highly.

They arrived at the agreed time. Finished the job in the estimated time. Left everything clean and no rubbish left behind . Had a supervisor check out everything and inquired if I was satisfied with the work. Which I was. I have used them for over 40 years and never once have had any problems at all. Highly recommend.

On site manager and his supervisor were always accessible, kept the project moving toward completion, management he various subcontractors (plumbers, appliance dealers, kitchen counter installers, cabinet and flooring installers). By Cape Cod standards, this was probably a relatively simple job, but I was impressed with the speed of the work, the professionalism of the Cape Associate employees, and their unfailing courtesy toward me.

We have had other home/business construction projects and this was by far the most seamless and easiest one we have undertaken. Although there were certainly challenging issues, like the site work, delays on products, and local personalities, Trevor Meyer helped us through the process. He recently came by and helped my husband select and set up sprinklers for the lawn.
The end result was a quality home. Many friends and family have commented on the excellent workmanship. The house is solid and also has some beautiful details done by the master carpenter, Ralph. We will definitely use Cape Associates for other projects. They also offer property management and maintenance services for folks who are away from their Cape homes over the winter or just want someone to check the house when on vacation. You pay a little more but the process and end product is superb.

We've owned this property for a year. Previous owner hired Cape Associates to install a wooden storm door with glass panels on the front door so there would be a continuous view of living room and pool from the street. Since the installation, the door has never worked as intended. The wood is of cheap material and continuously expands and contracts with the changing weather thereby never closing properly. The hardware installed is so flimsy the door either slams or takes several seconds to close. The door is not more than two years old. We had Cape Associates out to assess the door after learning how much money was spent on its installation and continuous costly visits for repairs. Their only solution they offered us was to install a bulky ugly metal catch at eye level on the front to "catch" the door and close it. I was shocked this was their solution, had them remove it and asked them to leave. This past winter the door was so swollen I had to remove it for fear it would get ripped off the building from a strong gust.

For 43 years we have strived to work with integrity and have always been committed to our customers’ satisfaction, no matter the size of the project. We purchased and installed one of the highest grade Wooden Screen doors available, it is solid mahogany. [hyperlink removed]. It is common knowledge that wood is a natural material and expands and contracts with the changes in humidity. The house is two blocks from the bay and therefore harsh salt air exacerbates this. We do agree this door was a challenge to align, the Main door of the house where this screen door was installed is very old and neither plum or has parallel jambs. The previous owner was informed of this and understood compromises. The door closers need to be re-adjusted depending on weather the screen is installed or the glass. When the glass is installed the closer has to be adjusted for when the main door is open. This should work well when you are entering the house. The catch is when you are leaving and the main house door is closed you have to take the time to push the door slightly and ensure it latches (this is due to the pressure build-up of trapped air between the doors. They also require maintenance yearly, it should be inspected for any signs of paint or joint cracks. These should be touched up. Though you have refused our attempts to remedy the situation, again we let you know that we would be happy to come out and go over your concerns and try to resolve them."

We purchased this property a year ago and were told by the previous owner Cape Associates installed the rain gutters.
The rain gutters have leaked the entire year we have been here. They are not even 2 years old. We had Cape Associates out to a**** the situation since they installed them. They claimed some caps were missing at the ends of the gutters and so installed them. Problem was not solved. The gutters continue to rot and leak everywhere staining the sides of the house and creating mold/moss/mildew on the decks below in the back yard. The leaks are also so bad there is damage to wood siding down below the gutters from constantly being soaked during rain. We had the gutters' interior oiled as suggested by Cape Associates and they still continue to rot. Currently looking to have the gutters replaced.

The previous owner did not want to spend that much. So we patched some areas and sealed others. Noting this as a “Band-aid” approach and they would have to be replaced eventually. We also suggested Aluminum gutters as they are larger and can handle the capacity. Yes they will continue to rot and they should be replaced, not just patched. We would be happy to get you a quote on replacing the gutters."

This is a second home so the work was done without my supervision. I both emailed and spoke with Dave Hedin at Cape Associates who handled the entire project from start to finish, including working with me to get precisely the door/specs I wanted, painting it inside and out per my color instructions, installing the handle and lock, etc. All in all an easy process and excellent workmenship.

The whole project was handled competently by Cape Associates. They built a beautiful 3 season porch. The carpenters, painters and electricians all completed their work on schedule, there were no surprises with add on charges. Everyone we dealt with respected our home and was courteous and friendly.The quality of their work is outstanding and we would highly recommend them to others.

The work we have seen thus far has been excellent. They have followed precisely the schedule they presented initially, and the completed work has been outstanding with notable attention to detail. We are at the mid-point of this project overall, and we will be examining the interior painting part of the job in the next week.
