On-time, well done

I've been using this service for approximately six months--probably five months too long.  Each time I come home after a cleaning (with the exception of two times), I have called them to complain about floors not being washed or vacuumed, cobwebs being left, tvs and frames not being dusted.  This last time, it wasn't just one or two things, it was a combination of all the aforementioned. Yes, they called me back and sent the team back out to clean (as they always do), but this time I saw almost no difference when I returned home after the second cleaning. I've continued to request a dedicated team that I could work with and reinforce whats important in my home.  I had thought that a large company with a national reputation would mean something--I was wrong.  Time to find a new service.

They were very accommodating and we got more than our money's worth. They went above and beyond.

My home is a very clean home to begin with. We do not wear shoes in the house and we do not have kids or dogs. This company has been cleaning my house for several months now. I kept giving them "another chance" to do a better job. From the initial contact I was very clear on which areas I would like the most attention given to. I really wanted the stovetop to be cleaned and I would spray the burners 4 hours ahead of time so it would be easy cleaning. I know when I clean them that they look brand new but they did not do this. Cabinets, cobwebs, bottom of chair legs, the toaster oven, teapot and coffeepot were never touched although I asked. There is actually a glob of grease that I purposely left at the edge of the stove the other night to see if it would get cleaned up but it is still there! The kitchen sink and the counters were also untouched. My counters are dark so maybe they thought if they looked clean not to bother to clean them? The grout in the bathrooms never gets cleaned and the mops they use leave more of a mess than what was there before they came! They never clean the light fixtures, behind the toilets or the showerheads. Although they do a really nice job of folding the toilet paper into a point so it looks pretty. ??? The floors are always left sticky from the cleaning solution that they use so I always need to mop after they leave. They do not vacuum under the couch or under the cushions. I have made them aware of these items not getting cleaned so many times. They sent the manager out one time to clean after a crew was here but she too missed the toaster oven, which I left open with cleaning supplies on it among other items. They are never on time. The last cleaning they were 3 hours late so I called and they said that they would be there in 40 minutes but then they called 40 minutes later to tell me that they would not make it at all until the next day. The next day they sent a different crew than my regular crew. I should have just told them to leave instead of having them making more of a mess out of my home and paying for it!

They were very efficient, and almost always on time. They sent a team of people, so they were able to finish very quickly. They were usually in and out within an hour, but my house wasn't that big. They were very thoughtful, helpful, and accomodating in terms of my schedule if anything needed to be changed. The owner in particular was very responsive. If there were any problems I could call him, he would get back to me right away, and take care of the problem. They were really great. Their prices were reasonable. I moved out of the area, or I would have hired them again. The price could have been a little lower. My new cleaning lady's prices are lower.

I had another service before them who complained about the parking and they refused to use my vacuum or equipment. I had never had that problem with Molly Maids. They do not complain about the parking and they use my equipment so that they have less to carry. They go through so fast that I sometimes wonder how well it really gets cleaned, however it looks okay. I have been pleased with the price, because all of the other cleaners that I have worked with have been much more expensive. I pay them per service. I have only had one issue with them where one of their girls was cleaning upholstery by slapping a rag at it and I have not seen her since my complaint. They seem to be reasonably thorough despite their being so fast, so I have not felt the need to ask much of them. We have a bit of trouble with the scheduling, however that is largely my fault. They do have some kind of set schedule, but it is not an exact time.

In general they do ok. I feel like I should not have to explain how to properly clean a toilet to a cleaning company, or wonder if they have a vacuum cleaner extentions to get in the corners or underneath something like a nightstand. They sometimes don't put things back the way they found it and often leave cleaning rags or dusters behind. Last week they left their jackets and I called and asked someone to come and get them and they haven't.

If there's something specific they miss, I tell them, and they fix it the next time. They work very hard.
