I hired Ansara Construction to finish the walls and flooring of a room above the garage and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Brian was professional, courteous, and efficient. He completed the project on time and within the estimated cost. The quality of work was excellent and he paid attention to every detail. I have hired Brian for repairs to my porch and roof. I am also working with Brian on an upcoming bathroom remodel project. I highly recommend Ansara Construction for any home improvement project.

We were very happy working with Ansara Construction! The work was great, Brian was prompt and efficient, and very communicative and knowledgeable with any questions we had (and there were many!). His quote for our work was very fair and helped us understand where any and all cost was coming from. Brian always personally made sure everything was done exactly right, even when any unexpected issues came up; he never cut corners. We would absolutely recommend Brian and his team, and hope to rehire him again for future work!

We hired Brian to finish ~1500 square feet of our basement, to include adding a bathroom, kitchen area, fireplace, custom cabinetry, and a gym area. Brian was great to work with and hands down the best general contractor we've ever used. He stayed in constant communication and always discussed any options or potential snags before they became an issue. He was on top of the subcontractors and managed them like it was his own home, ensuring that no detail went unnoticed or unresolved. The end result was a project that was on time, on budget, and which far exceeded our expectations. We are looking forward to working with Brian again in the future.

From the start, Brian was great to work with and a great resource. The finished deck looks great and is far better than the original that was removed with quality workmanship and attention to detail throughout. Brian was readily available with progress updates throughout the course of the project. I would certainly call upon Brian again for future projects.

Brian was everything I hope for. He came on time, opened up the damaged area and advised me of the work to be done and the contingencies involved. Brian and his helper worked steadily for two days, answered my questions and used the materials we discussed as well as donating a course of copper flashing. I saw the process unfold from start to finish and could not be more pleased. I would re-hire Brian in a minute for further work.

Absolutely fantastic. They replaced a section of the beam, repaired the wall, fixed the shingles, and poured the slab. Professional job. Great people. Very happy.

Brian did a great job. All the windows and doors are now square to the openings. The gap between the house and the sun room is gone. He checked the footings to ensure that they were the proper depth. The deck and the room were raised to eliminate the gap that was forming between the house and the room. Brian's helper also found a beam that had rot, so they fixed that. Brian removed some of the sidings on the house and used Vycor to waterproof where the sun room's roof meets the house. He replaced the siding with new sidings. They also fixed the dry wall in the inside corners of the sun room. Brian does a great job with estimating the work required. Where ever he can, he gives me alternatives to save money, and he always thoroughly explains the pros and cons of the alternatives. I've used Brian several times over past three or four years. I will definitely use him again for any future house repairs or remodeling. He is experienced and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him for all your house repair and remodeling needs.

Scheduled to last approximately one month; job lasted one month. Dollar cost of the job came in "at budget". Brian is very professional and easy-to-work with; high levels of customer communication. Crew presented themselves every day; crew 'cleaned up' each and every day; Very happy with his work - would highly recommend.

Excellent. Brian was great to work with, and when I noticed a very minor spot that needed touching up he was there the very next day. Most of the work was covered by insurance so can't speak to his prices of way or the other but I would definitely recommend to anyone and will be calling him back for future work.

Brian honored the start time and finished all work at the price that was quoted. He and his crew were very respectful, and cleaned up after each day's work. Brian was present and for outside contracted work that was done. He was attentive for minor corrections that needed to be done, even after he had moved on to another job. He was also extremely knowledgeable with recommendations for additional services that we needed for our home. We were out of town for a week while construction was ongoing, and Brian updated us daily with pictures and made key decisions when we couldn't be reached.

I hired Brian to perform some remodeling of two bedrooms. In the master bedroom I had him rebuild a closet in a different location, install laminate flooring, improve the location of a cable and phone jack, and install new trim along the floor. In another bedroom I had him install flooring, trim, and new closet doors. Overall I was very happy with Brian and his crew/subs. He was open and honest upfront about cost estimates and tended to lean on the conservative side so I would know what the worst case costs could be due to potential issues. In the end the total cost was several hundred dollars less than the original and I was glad Brian was honest with me. The quality of work was great and the crew was courteous and cleaned up after themselves. I plan to hire Brian again for future work.

Unbelievably well! Brian is wonderful to work with, he offers suggestions, he is honest and covers all bases, and he is on the site from start to finish. The quality of his work is outstanding. His fellow workers are very polite and professional. This is the second time I had him work on my house and would not call anyone else in the future. Have nothing but compliments from family and neighbors - "It looks like a brand new house".

Brian was great and his price was on-par with other estimates we got. There was a bit of delay getting started due to scope creep on the prior job, but Brian was upfront about this possibility and was communicative the whole time. The porches turned out great and we would definitely hire Brian again. One mishap during the project -- the delivery guys accidently knocked our pole light lose while unloading materials. Rather than ignore it and hope I wouldn't notice, Brian and the delivery guys brought it to my attention immediately. It was minor, easily fixed, and they took care of it without question.

Ansara Construction does great work -- Brian is very particular about detail. The work is done the right way the first time. The repairs look terrific and my Mom is thrilled about the grab bar. The work done in 2013 has also stood the test of time. Brian is great about communicating when he will be on the job and keeping clients informed at every step of the way. He is also sensitive about suggesting the most cost effective ways about solving different issues. I'd definitely recommend Ansara Construction to others and have done so already!

After getting several quotes for the work we chose Ansara Construction, based not just on cost but also on Brian Ansara as he was courteous, knowledgeable and happy give us advice on some of our projects. We agreed up front that the work wasn't urgent so Brian could complete other jobs in the run up to Christmas, even so Brian kept us in the loop checking in regularly. Once he was able to install the windows team arrived on time and had windows installed in less than a day. The finished result was excellent with neat well finished internal and external window trim, no mess no fuss. We would highly recommend Ansara Construction.

Brian was fantastic to work with. We had extensive damage from ice damns this past winter. All the water remediation work had been completed, but we were left with walls & ceilings missing in most rooms of the house (3 bedrooms, kitchen and family room). We also had a load bearing beam that was very undersized that had to be replaced. The completed work looks great. What I appreciated most about working with Brian was how honest and communicative he was. He was very up front about when the work could begin (unlike most contractors that string you along & tell you there were "unforeseen delays on another job") and throughout all the work he provided continuous updates about what work had been completed that day and what they'd be tackling the next day. I never felt out of the loop. I highly recommend using Ansara Construction!

I will not bother calling anyone else in the future! Brian and his crew did an excellent job. Brian was very responsive to our questions and addressed all of our concerns. He was very honest and did not try to cut corners or do more than was necessary. The estimate provided was accurate. Brian Ansara of Ansara Construction has a customer for life. He will be my go-to contractor from here on out. Here's why: 1) Accurate, competitive, and transparent quote. His quote was dead-on and he provided a detailed, itemized list of everything that would be done and how much each portion would cost. 2) Communication. His communication went above and beyond everything we hoped for. Throughout the work, he would call or e-mail us and spell out exactly what he was going to do next and when he was going to do it. When we had a question, he'd answer it promptly. He was 100% receptive to what we wanted and made sure it happened. 3) On-Site Presence. He was always there! Whether performing the work himself or overseeing the work done those to whom he contracted out, he was present and making sure everything met his standards. You could tell he takes great pride in his work and his reputation. 4) Craftsmanship. His work was superb. Couldn't be happier with the final product. Literally, not a single complaint.

I contacted Brian for a quote after searching local contractors and basement remodels on Angies list. I obtained a number of quotes from contractors. Although I tried to align the scope for each contractor, there was some disparity in the estimates. Lower ones had a lot of "To be determined" pieces not priced out at all. Brian's quote and in person details were very descriptive. He was very straightforward with the assumptions he was making. He also let me know where the cost could go up if issues were discovered or if we upgraded to higher end materials. Appreciating his more transparent approach, I called back and reviewed what our budget was for the basement. He let us know what we could do to bring the original estimate down to the number we could manage while still meeting our requirements. When we signed the contract and began work, Brian was very diligent in communicating the schedule and progress against that schedule. Brian and his co-worker Mike frequently checked in to let me know what was done, what was coming up next, and what design options we had as things came together. Again, this transparency gave me confidence we were doing well against the estimated budget and schedule we originally discussed despite what was quite literally the worst February in recorded history. Altogether, my family has been extremely happy with the finished product. We have received a number of compliments on the room to date. The finishing makes this room seem like it has always been a part of the house. The design and lighting is a perfect set up to watch movies on one side while maintaining a very bright other half for my daughter's play space. I gladly recommend Brian and his staff to anyone looking to do remodeling in the future. Both Brian and Mike were extremely professional and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process.

After receiving several bids for the work, we selected Brian due to his obvious expertise, ability to explain work to be done and potential problem areas, and reasonable pricing. I also liked that he would be doing the work himself or at least closely supervising his great crew, and not subcontracting or bringing in a team of inexperienced people. Communication with Brian was awesome. He was very responsive, and happy to answer questions and explain everything that was going on. When problems were encountered that required additional work, he made sure we understood the issue and gave us options of how to handle it. When it was discovered that some work we contracted him for was unnecessary, he happily credited that portion back. There were a lot of different sub-projects going on that required lots of supplies from different vendors. While we chose good door and window suppliers, for some reason they had trouble providing the bay window in a timely fashion, gave Brian the run around regarding fiberglass fire door in the size we needed, provided seat board that was the wrong size, and so on. Though none of these were Brian's fault, it impacted the work schedule. Brian was relentless working with the suppliers to get it resolved to minimize the impact on us. In one case where a door was slightly damaged in transit by one of his workers, he immediately took responsibility and got a whole new door at his cost without making excuses or trying to get us to just live with it. The quality of the work done was top notch, and I'm completely confident that the doors, windows, etc. were installed properly and won't give us any trouble for a long, long time. If only the people who built the house originally were as qualified... While the work dragged on longer than we would have liked due to issues with getting all the supplies needed when they were needed (largely not Brian's fault), he communicated with us regularly so we weren't in the dark with regard to what was happening. Brian and his crew is a top-notch outfit that I wouldn't hesitate to hire again when needed.

Brian Ansara and his team at Ansara Construction were absolutely outstanding! If there was an A+ rating category that's where I'd rate Brian and his team. I found Brian through Angie's List after suffering a bad experience with a "non Angie's list" contractor I used this past summer. Unfortunately, this other contractor was less than truthful about the extent of a water damaged area of my family's home and then proceeded to cover it up. From my initial meeting with Brian to project completion, Brian provided exceptional service through expert advice and high quality work. Brian was able to remove the existing soffit and exterior wall to reveal the extent of water damage originating from the roof. He made the necessary repairs to the wall studs, exterior plywood/shingles and drywall, replaced the section of damaged roof and installed a new ridge vent. However, the one skill I believe sets Brian apart from others is his ability to listen to customer needs. Brain was highly responsive throughout the entire project and made himself available to answer my many questions. I always felt comfortable approaching Brian with a question or thought as the project evolved. This was especially helpful because the nature of this project was one where the full extent of the issue couldn't be known until the roof and wall were opened up. I have other home projects on my list and will definately be re-hiring Brian and his team!
