I am selling my house in a few weeks and do to an insurance issue with the buyer's appraiser we were forced to install a water heater instead of giving them a credit at closing. I was a little perturbed but I wanted the job to be done right. I initially sent a note via Thumbtack. Charlie was the first reply and with an extremely fair quote. I followed up with him immediately and he was a joy to work with on the phone. He had said he'd be there at 11AM on Thursday but could come a bit earlier possibly. He showed up at 10 (with my blessing of course), performed the work extremely promptly, professionally, and provided absolutely fantastic service. Both him and his assistant were extremely thorough, professional, courteous, kind, and prompt. I work in sales and was totally impressed by his services. I am excited to recommend him to anyone.

I called Charlie first to do a house call on a dishwasher, he responded quickly and did a dishwasher install for a very reasonable rate. I found him on craiglist I think it was, but he was local here in the Billerica/Bedford/Chelmsford area, so I gave him a call. Dishwasher still works, no problems, and done correctly. I kept his card.

A few months later I called him to replace my water pipes in my basement as a number of them were old brass and were leaking. That was a pretty big job, which he did over the course of a few days and did it well. He's come back a couple of times to move a pipe here or there when we needed to because of other things going on (renovations).

Lastly, I called him to do a boiler install. I switched to gas from oil and got a boiler from the gas company, he did the install, along with the circulators, and superstor hot water heater. It's been probably two years and it's still working flawlessly and has saved us a ton of cash on the old oil bills.
