 + -1 moreA door was purchased several years ago but never installed. I contacted several contractors to open a wall, frame a door and install the door and lock set. The home is a very humble one and in the midst of a good deal of renovation, with the door being one of the many projects on the radar. I had one contractor come out and quote $1600.00 for the install, being rude and dismissive of the desired result I had in mind. I called Brunswick and spoke with both John and Jayme there who came out, actually listened to what I was trying to do. This project was more carpentry than anything else, but they were able to fulfill the need I had and I am confident that they did a professional job. I would hire them again.
Description of Work: Brunswick Glass was called upon to install a exterior door. The installation required the cutting in (opening) the wall and framing the new door in the space that was previously without a door. The install took about 8 hours (one day) and while the original estimate was $750.00 for the install, the opening of the wall exposed a rotted sill that had to be replaced before the door could be installed. The added cost to buy and replace the sill brought the project up to $900.00 but I feel every penny was worth it. The door was well supported, the lock set and dead bolt were installed also and I'm happy with the results.
