About us

MapleTree Building Corporation is a small, family owned construction/home improvement firm with a reputation built on quality work and integrity. We perform all of the construction and carpentry work ourselves, using subcontractors only for electrical, plumbing, painting and excavating services. The client is welcome to hire his own subs, or have us provide knowledgeable contractors that we have worked with in the past. The President of MapleTree Building Corporation, Dave Keane, is a expert builder and carpenter with over 30 years of experience throughout all aspects of the residential construction industry. His formal education includes coursework at Wentworth Institute of Technology and the Boston Architectural Center.

Last year Mapletree did an amazing job completely remodeling my 4th floor condo in Cambridge. They removed an old kitchen, walls and a doorway. Then they replaced the floor, put in a wonderful new kitchen, a spectacular domed ceiling, and custom built-in cabinets. Dave is a master carpenter. The quality of the woodwork was excellent with great attention to detail. Highlights were a custom maple countertop and gorgeous wooden ceiling beams Dave also did a great job with the bureaucratic headaches of working with the city of Cambridge and my condo association. I would definitely hire Mapletree again for another renovation.
Description of Work: Removed an old kitchen, walls and a doorway. Then they replaced the floor, put in a new kitchen, domed ceiling, and custom built-in cabinets.

We had recently purchased our first home and wanted to remove the wall between our living room and den. We called several providers but David was able to do the work on the schedule we needed and for a good price. He went above and beyond to help us, including dealing with permitting in the town of Plymouth (no easy task) and following up with our other contractors (electrician and plaster) even though we technically did not hire him as a general contractor. He matched our existing wood floors and trim work beautifully. We have made plans to use him again for some additional remodeling as we were so pleased with the work he did for us.
Description of Work: We had a structural wall removed and associated repair work done.
