The Maids of North Andover

In preparation to sell my home I hired The Maids of North Andover to really clean every inch of the place.
The four women of the team arrived right on time and got to work. I asked some questions and for some special cleaning of the window sills and was told (both in person and over the phone) it could all be done; no problem. I left them a key and went to work expecting a sparkling home upon return. It would all be ready for the open house.
I did not find what I expected. Many of the flat surfaces (like counters and the top of the refrigerator) were a one swipe clean.
Cabinet door were missed, mirrors left with marks, most of the baseboard trim was not cleaned, bathtubs and shower half done, etc...And the window sills were not touched. They did a good job vacuuming!  The feeling I have hiring a professional, is that they will do the job better than I would, but that was not my experience with The Maids this time.
I called the main office and was offed a complete re-clean, which I scheduled for the next day early before the open house. Again, this was going to be no problem. It was a problem when the team leader showed up late and forgot the house key. 
I ended up cleaning the rest myself, and that was the end of my business with The Maids of North Andover.

When I first started with the service in May, it was excellent.  The last two times the service has come I've noticed places that are barely cleaned, or not cleaned.  There were still cup circles from a beverage that sweated on the end table, some toothpaste marks on the bathroom vanity, and some mold in the bathtub grout. After I took pictures to document what wasn't cleaned, I took a paper towel to wipe the the end table and was surprised by the dirt the paper towel picked up. I was able to get the mold out of the grout using a Mr. Clean Magic sponge. I get the feeling that my cleaning ladies just lightly wipe the counters and won't bother to put more effort into the cleaning if there happens sticky stuff on a counter. If this is the case, why bother hiring a cleaning service?  I'm also one of those people that has their house picked up and organized before the cleaning person comes. I do this to make their job easier so they don't have to clean around my junk. It should also be noted that I have no children or animals. I'm surprised that I'm still charged $150 per cleaning. I hope to find a better service to replace the cleaning team. Unfortunately, I feel the quality of the cleanings are lacking.  I will admit they have excellent punctuality and come when they say they will.  They have never missed a scheduled cleaning and there administrative office has always been professional in dealing with me.

I've been getting my house cleaned by The Maids for several years now.  They have never missed the scheduled date, they show up in the time range they are scheduled, and I've never had a complaint about their professionalism or their work.  I think it is a bit expensive but I really haven't shopped around in years so I don't know what others are charging. 
They send a crew and they have a system worked out to divide the labor and finish quickly.  Quite efficient.  I don't think I've ever found anything dirty after they've come and gone.  I've had a couple of special requests over the years and they've helped me out with no problems. 
I just happened across their listing here and thought I'd offer an opinion, one based on 6+ years of service.

Over all, simply, dissapointing. No more Maids

A team of three showed up on time and promptly set to work. They were professional and dilligent, and I have no complaints about the quality of service. The only reason I would not use them again is if I find someone else who does quality work at a significantly lower price. They were here for a little over two hours, with three women, and we paid $360. That's $60 per hour per person. If I have a hard time finding quality work at a lower rate, I will use them again, but only occasionally. If you need a cleaning tornado to come through your house and you're less sensitive to price, The Maids will serve you well.

The house cleaning itself was about a 5 on a 1 thru 10 scale. Did not blow me away but just ok. My problem is theft. The route of all evil and I am writing this to tell everyone to be careful and do not trust these people. I personally will say I should not of had put cash in my coffee table draw in my great room. The reason we did was we have a little nascar pool and we collect cash each week the race is on and we are all in the great room and add it each week and put it in the envolope so we add it all the time. Same people for the last 4 years The only people that were in my home were the maids. They didnt take all of it just 650.00 of the 980.00. I think the part that makes it much worse is the response I received from Heather and then John. basically saying oh sorry you should call the policy. Totally plowing me off. If they some how step up and have me believe and feel that they are doing something about this. I would be able to move past this and stop the mistakes I made and I understand they can not control if someone is just a bad person. i can understand if they have one bad egg but they made me feel like I was lying. That is not something I would make up. We do very good financially and I feel Violated to be honest. SO DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY MAKE BAD ISSUES WORSE!

Work is guaranteed, if it isn't to your standards or they forget something they come back and fix it right away. The scheduling is convenient and if they are running late or something comes up and they need to reschedule they always call. After one visit I noticed an item missing from my home and the company deducted the cost of the item from my bill without hesitation.
