ACE Residential Solar, LLC

Initially working with Ace Solar was one of the best companies. Their communication and perceived knowledge were head and shoulders above the rest. The problem comes in when you add a battery to the system. Ace Solar seems to be flying by the seat of its pants. The batteries failed within 3 months, then failed during 4 more installs, and have continued to fail 16 months later. Ace Solar seems to be stalling until the warrant period ends. It took them more than a year to get someone out to look at the installation. Bringing Solar Edge to look at the system Ace Solar installed. They found that the system was misconfigured causing multiple battery faults. The wiring was substandard, probably causing the batteries to fail during power outages, and they found that multiple wires had not been connected (for control of the batteries). I met with the Owners of the company and was offered a plan to go forward. That plan did not last a week before Ace Solar changed it and changed their portion to deliver. The system has failed during 100% of the power outages this year. The system stopped charging multiple times in 2023. The system has never operated a whole during the Mass Connected Solutions season. Ace Solar will repeatedly say not their fault, but the configuration, correct installation of Gauge of wire, and connecting batteries are 100% on Ace Solar. So year 2 we are waiting for Aces Plan. Ace was a great company to work for with Solar, but beyond that, they are learning with your money. Note the other system they installed with batteries, had multiple issues. Their installers repeatedly told me how the other customers were frustrated. So go with another vendor if you have a non-standard Solar install. Otherwise, just do not look to see if your system is working (Ace Solar's advice to me) and all will be good.

Not many outfits are interested in doing small jobs. ACE was very accommodating.

very concerned about the details.......gave advice and options I never realized were possible that made my Solar conversion more efficient and esthetically pleasing. Corey is outstanding.......with me all the way from design to start-up......very satisfied
