Dupee Antique Flooring

We were very happy with their professionalism and the results. Chris was responsive by phone, showed up when he said he would, did everything he said he would. These guys do a REALLY nice job and they don't cut corners. Sanding is very dusty work but they left everything perfectly clean and sealed off other rooms so the dust wouldn't spread. We described the stain color we wanted, and they gave us exactly what we asked for. They were very nice, as well, and when I forgot to take the frames off the wall (which they asked for so they wouldn't get dusty) they just did it for me and took care of it "no problem." Our floors were in bad shape and they transformed them, and the cost was very reasonable. This was probably the best money we've spent on home improvement.

Excellent job. Hard workers. We love the floor!

We had three flooring contractors bid on the job of installing hardwood flooring in our 60-year-old home. We chose Chris Dupee, both because a friend recommended his work, and also because my husband and I found him to be the most straightforward and knowledgeable. In addition, his estimate was actually slightly lower than one other contractor. Chris and his partner were extremely hard workers. They fit our small job in a day or two a week, when they had time away from a larger job. This worked out for us, as we got our job done sooner than we had expected. Our older home does have some variations in levels from room to room, and Chris was able to make appropriate transitions to minimize the different levels. He made transition pieces as needed for threshold areas. Because we were living in the house while it was being worked in, we had to pack up and move as much stuff as we could from one room to another, and then back again, as each area was finished. Chris and his partner were very flexible, and moved the heavier pieces of furniture, adjusted louvered closet doors, and did whatever was necessary to make the job doable. My husband and I appreciated their hard work and expertise. And our floors look beautiful! We plan to have them come back to do one additional room.
