The guy that did the appraisal seemed to be in a real hurry he didn't measure the length of the pipes or walk around much for that matter, then he say he will send me a quote whenever it was ready which was almost two weeks afterwards. This so called "quote" included a lot of work that wasn't necessary and was DOUBLE the amount of money of what the other two plumbers had gave me. I will not give my business to someone that is so careless and unprofessional.

"A complete and thorough walk through of the job was done prior to sending out the proposal. A detailed proposal was given in a timely fashion. The items included in the proposal were for a top quality job - NOT an inexpensive job. Ashley Swift and Sons Inc. has never claimed to be the cheapest contractor in the area, but what we do claim is to do high quality work using the highest quality materials and stand behind our work after the completion of the project to insure a positive experience for the customer. Sometimes this is not what the customer is looking for, that is why it is important for the customer to get multiple proposals for the work to be done. That way they can CHOOSE the contractor they are most comfortable with, and not feel that they are being forced into anything. Which is what this member did, so I feel the F grades are not accurate especially since no work was performed or any charges were sent to the member."

They are good on minor plumbing. They are one of these people who charge you an hour to start with. They've been around a long time. They have one guy who does minor plumbing stuff who we are familiar with him. He has a kind of good bedside manner. They have staff on some other stuff. It's still a good firm. Make sure you have somebody on the staff that is familiar with your equipment. They are mainstream here on price. They are not cheap but they are not out of the ballpark. What was done was fine. It was good quality and it was excellent. They were responsive and punctual.

Ashley Swift repaired my natural gas boiler that was not starting. They replaced the thermal coupler, and had it running again within an hour.
I called on a Saturday, and they called me back within 15 minutes of my calling them, and came right away.

Marty is great. He is very bright. He finds solutions to my problem's. He is very pleasant to have in the house. He is prompt and honest. The price is reasonable.
