It always goes well at Akaal. They have just moved to brand-new offices at 81 Chapel Street, and the place was spotless. I arrived early and my cat and dog were seen early, as there were no other patients at the time. Dr. Singh told me that my cat was due for a rabies vaccine, but that there are two kinds on the market, with one of them having a potential carcinogenic effect. The other rabies vaccine was currently unavailable -- everywhere, not just to Akaal. After discussing the pros and cons of getting the vaccine now, with the slight risk of cancer, or taking a spot on Akaal's wait list for the better rabies vaccine, I was able to make an informed decision (I'm on the wait list). I appreciated having the opportunity to have a thorough discussion about this.

I've been going to Akaal Animal Clinic for a few years and this last visit was, as usual, a happy ending. Dr. Singh has seen a few of my cats over the years and he is always professional, very good with animals and they respond to his handling in a positive way. Even the ones who are a bit skittish! I would recommend Akaal Animal Clinic to everyone I know who needs a quality veterinarian.

The visit went well. Dede is only in her first five days of recovery but she is smelling much better (I should know as she sleeps on my bed). Dr. Singh and his assistant said that Dede is very strong for a 10 1/2 yr old poodle. I told him that I walk her every day for at least 1/2 hour and often more. She is on a wireless leash so she can meander away from the sidewalks and paths.

Dr. Singh is very warm and kind. He was punctual, professional, and put my cat at ease from the moment he arrived in the treatment room. In the past my cat has hissed, scratched, cried, etc. at vet appointments. Not once did any of this happen with Dr. Singh. I paid far less for services and medication than I would have at our previous vet. I would highly recommend both Dr. Singh and this vet practice.

Our only issue is that he takes cash/check only. He also does not work weekends and does not have someone cover him, so in an emergency you have to go to an animal hospital. His prices are very reasonable and he does not push products nor extra vaccines.

All of my visits to Akaal Animal Clinic have been good visits. I've never had any problems. My first visit was for a cat that had problems with his teeth. I've had other cats brought in for dental work and all have been successful. I've also brought in a cat that has a baffling bacterial infection that occurs from time to time. Although we've never been able to pinpoint why it happens, I've always trusted that Dr. Singh is able to make him "better" and so far, we've been able to stay on top of the issue with medications when the infection surfaces. All in all, I've had very good experiences with Akaal Animal Clinic.

It went as well as one could want. Dr Singh was very good with the cat and thorough; mentioned but didn't push dental treatment and "senior scan". And the cat is healthy.
