Kentaro's Piano Kare

He was very prompt with responses. In spite of the busy holiday season (Nov-Dec), he was able to fit us in earlier than initially expected because he had a cancellation. He showed me exactly what he was doing (I have never taken those parts off the piano before), asked about the primary player (my daughter) and her preferences. Since piano had only been tuned once, right after purchase (about 3 years ago), he explained that the tuning would take a bit longer, and cost a little bit more (which I expected). He made sure I was happy with the work and provided contact info for free adjustment in next 2 months, based on player preference. I will definitely be calling him in the future!

My piano sounds beautiful since Mr. Nabeshima tuned it. He is well-versed in various piano tuning techniques (e.g., aural, technological), and employed different methods, depending on which part of the keyboard he was working with. I appreciated how thoughtful he was about tuning my piano a particular way, because it would make my particular instrument sound its best. I also greatly appreciated the time he took to explain his methods; I really enjoyed learning more about piano tuning from him. Mr. Nabeshima clearly cares about and excels in his field.

It went very well. Kentaro examined the piano and explained what he will do and how much it will costs. After I accept the price, he started working. It took him 3 hours to complete the task. I am very happy with the quality of the work.

This is my second year with Kentaro as our piano tuner and I could not be happier. He works hard and clearly takes pride in his craft. He politely asked us if he could "stay longer" than the planned 3 hours to do some fine tuning. He is a really nice person who loves his work. His price is incredibly reasonable for the quality of service you get. He also emails you with a reminder that your piano is due for tuning, which is helpful with our busy lives.

From the very beginning of scheduling online, communicating through e-mail, coming on time, and providing  amazingly detailed and careful attention to the diagnosing, explaining, tuning, and going over his overall findings including emailing a detailed summary of the work performed,  I could not have been more pleased with Kentaro's services.  He clearly loves what he does and that shows from start to finish.  The sound of my piano has exceeded my expectations.   I can fully recommend him and will definitely be calling on him again next year to keep my piano well maintained.  

I recently moved a Yamaha Disklavier upright to my home from out of state.  It had not been tuned for a couple years.  Kentaro arrived right on time and was an absolute professional.  He patiently answered my many questions and performed a standard tuning.  He did an especially thorough job with the fine tuning, and the piano sounds better than ever!  He provided a detailed inventory of work performed and made recommendations for caring for the piano in the Michigan climate.  I highly recommend his work, and I will definitely use his services again.

I have owned pianos for decades, and so I have dealt with many piano tuners over the years, because we move around a lot.  I really have to say that Kentaro is the not only the most caring but also the most careful and detailed. piano tuner I have ever had. He is a Registered Piano Technician through the Piano Technicians Guild, so he certainly is well-qualified, and this is demonstrated in the quality of his work.  A couple of the keys on my baby grand gave him some trouble, but he patiently persisted to resolve the problem. He even came back the next day for some fine tuning!  Thanks a million, Kentaro!  P.S. Did I mention that he is also a really nice guy?
