We called on a Friday, and the owner John called back in an hour or so. He was able to come by the house and look at the job that afternoon. He emailed a quote the next day. We talked to three other individuals about the job. One seemed very knowledgeable and had good recommendations, but he never provided a quote. One came by to look at the job five days after we called him and after we had decided to go with John. The third provided a quote in a timely manner, but John's was lower and covered more work. For example, we have a wall, and part of it needed to be removed when the new pipe was installed. John's crew rebuilt the wall, and it looks just as good if not better than before. They started the job on Wednesday, and they were able to install the new pipe in one day with a crew of four or five guys who worked hard to get the job done. The problem arose in January, and we were lucky to have it fixed before the next snowfall. John was around most of the time to oversee the work. A couple of guys had to come back on Thursday to rebuild the wall and regrade the lawn. We had a lot of ledge, and they did their best under the circumstances. It's tough when a sewer problem comes out of the blue, but we're really glad that we called Ieraci.

I called Ieraci to obtain an estimate and John (the owner) came stopped by later that same day.  He explained exactly what needed to be done and said he'd email an estimate to me in a few days.  The estimate arrived the next day.  Based on other estimates I received, Ieraci's price was fair and the method to fix the wall was better.  I signed the proposal and the work was scheduled for the next week.  The day before the work was to take place, John showed up with the foreman who would be on-site during the work and they did a walk-through.  I asked what time they would be here.  John said "eight o'clock" and Tony (the foreman) said "around eight-thirty."  Much to my surprise, they showed up at ten minutes to eight.
Tony and his crew of two got right to work, did exactly what I was told they'd do, and did a great job.  They cleaned up after themselves and even replanted some things which I had removed for save keeping during the repair.

Excellent. I am also a contractor and i got their name through word of mouth. Now we know why. They are great guys, they were very cordial and professional. And attended to all our needs. We couldn't be happier. On top of that John the owner gave me the best price out of two other companies. I can't say enough about them. A that's coming from home contractor!

We used Ieraci landscaping a few years ago to dig out a water main, replace our front walkway with pavers, correct problems with drainage on our lot, and regrade and sod the yard. They did a terrific job on that project, and the walkway looks beautiful and has held up very well.
Based on that experience, I called John at Ieraci and asked him to give us a quote on installing a new patio in our back yard. He gave us a very reasonable estimate, and completed the project in a short period of time, exactly as scheduled. They had to deal with some difficult access issues and did a terrific job despite this complication. The pavers look beautiful--they are real artisans, and experts at installing this kind of material. I highly recommend John and his colleagues.

They are punctual and professional. Having worked with the City of Newton many times before, they are able to take care of the permit and coordinate their work with the city. There is very little involvement needed on my part. The office manager is very coordinated - signed proposal is mailed promptly, phone calls and emails were either answered or replied very quickly.
They moved the freezer in my basement (or maybe the City guy did) to give them more room to work, but it was put back where it was at the end of the day. They did what they say they would, and everything is cleaned up. Their price is very reasonable compared to other quotes too.
They are definitely on my list if I need any landscaping work in the future.

I currently use them. They are very reliable and reasonably priced. They are easy to communicate with.

We had to replace a blocked water line from the city water at the street to the house and needed Ieraci to do the excavation and work with the city to coordinate the installation of new pipe. John and his crew have done many similar jobs with the City of Newton and so we were comfortable that they would be able to perform the job even under adverse conditions (snow covered ground and having to pull old pipe from under a stone wall) The crew completed the work as scheduled and was able to do the excavation and pull old pipe and install the new copper pipe without damaging either the stone wall or paved front walk both of which covered the path of the water pipe) We were very satisfied with the work and would recommend them for this type of work.

The pavers look great. They used inferior sand in between them, inferior dirt to fill in the empty lot, and failed to replant grass which they promised to do. They got huffy when I pointed out my concerns and then refused to answer calls, never finishing the job.
I would not recommend these guys.

The owner, John Capello and his crew did an amazing job on our backyard renovation and far exceeded our expectations. The job from start to finish was stress free and John kept us updated every step of the way. Whenever we had a question or wanted to make a change John was either over our house within 10 minutes or readily answered our call. The quality of work was exceptional and our stone wall and patio is one of the best I have seen. It is truly refreshing to be able to work with a contractor who really cares about his customers and the the quality of work he delivers. We will be using him next year for our front yard renovation!

Everything appears to have gone well. However, when I called them about paving my driveway and doing some brick work, they did not come to do the estimate despite my calling to remind them. I conclude that the profit on the excavating was greater and they weren't interested in the second job.

We had our main water line replaced and hired these guys to excavate our front yard. John Capello came over the day after my first phone call to look at the job and dropped off an estimate the following morning.

I don't know if the price was competitive because, having called 3 other contractors, Ieraci was the only one that called back and/or came out to give us an estimate. That said, having someone with good communication skills and a sense of responsibility is usually worth some extra expense.

They took care of contacting the city and coordinating with the DPW, called us to give us the date, showed up when promised, the on-site work crew was pleasant and cleaned up perfectly.

They did a beautiful job and I would hire them again. Their workmanship was excellent. They did a great job. They cleaned up very well and removed all of the debris. Everything was beautiful and it stood up to the test of the weather. It was very good and I did not have any complaints at all about them. I would definitely recommend them. I thought that their price was very fair.

Over the last 2 years, Ieraci's service has gone downhill. Responsiveness and quality have both deteriorated. They mow even when the grass is sopping wet, damaging our lawn with their machines. I guess they want to stay on schedule but at least they could repair the damage so that we don't have to go and replace all the divots and re-seed scraped areas. Sanding this winter was poorly done though I do understand that it was a very busy winter for them. This week, I requested that they NOT mow the common land or our lawn because of the wet conditions. I received a message saying I would be charged for it anyway because it would take longer to mow the next time they came. I find it hard to believe it would double their time! Then, they went ahead and did the common land anyway because the contractor decided, without consulting me and going directly against my request, that it wouldn't damage the grass. To do the opposite of what the customer has expressly requested is hard to believe.
