David is fantastic. His price was by far the most reasonable out of the three bids that we solicited for this project. He worked quickly and efficiently to complete the work and even suggested some additional improvements that helped us organize our very cluttered basement. I would not hesitate to use David again and recommend him enthusiastically.

In my 30 years of being a homeowner, I've never had a handyman/contractor who is as good as Dave Major (and his company, BHI Home Improvements). Dave and his crew are amazing. Whether they’re fixing, assembling, building, painting—they do it all, on time and at a fair price. I highly recommend Dave and his crew. They’re wizards.

Dave Major, from BHI, arrived on time to install Pergo flooring in my dining room that I had special ordered online from Home Depot but didn't trust their people to install. He worked meticulously without taking a lunch break, especially in the area under my bay windows, to use up as little of the Pergo, because I told him that I could return for a full refund any unopened cartons.. Halfway through the job I noticed a leak in my upstairs toilet and called customer service at the manufacturer. They told me that the toilet could only be fixed if I purchased their brand name part. Dave recommended that I drive to a hardware store less than 5 minutes from my house to buy a generic part that would last years longer. The part kit cost $18 and without missing a beat, he fixed the toilet in less than 20 minutes, returned to my dining room and completed a first class installation of the Pergo floor and I am able to return an unopened carton for the refund. The clean up of the carpet and padding removed in my dining room was immaculate. He charged me his senior citizen rate of $45/hour and after I paid him, as he was leaving my house, he noticed the stair railing to my basement was loose and he fixed it for free. The Pergo floor looks fantastic. Dave is a craftsman.
