After living through a basement flood in our second home, I can truly attest to the amazing work Servpro Newton/Wellesley did. Not only was the job completely in a timely manner, but the work was impeccable and the customer service was the best. What could have been a horrible experience was made into an easy and thoughtless process for my family. Thank you Servpro Newton/Wellesley!!

Sewage water in basement flowed under finished area under floating floor and drywall. Servpro removed the entire floating floor, cut out 1-2 feet of wet drywall at the base, and set up humidifiers and fans to avoid mold. They also sanitized the entire area. I was not even sure at first if I needed them, but after getting Shawn the owner out to look, I had no doubts. A team of 3 did all of the work the morning after the sewage backup. Then they left fans and dehumidifier for 3 days.
Shawn did an extremely complete and professional job of documenting the problem and the job. This was important for our insurance company. I can't say enough about the completeness of this document, really super. I gave everything an A, but gave price a B because it was very expensive ($2400). Shawn estimated the price ahead of time, so I knew before he started. This might be the norm, but I want to let people know it is an expensive process. Of course, there was hazardous waste materials to dispose of, and ServPro took care of all of it. I highly recommend this provider.

Their responsiveness was excellent and they were willing to work with us on payment. They were on-time, called ahead of time and followed up exactly with what they promised. They also removed some carpet. They came back today to measure humidity levels and to remove their equipment.

They did an excellent job and kept me informed all the way. I live in a different state which made their on-line proposal, photographs, documentation and invoicing a huge benefit to me. Their office staff was very helpful and available and employees made repeat trips to the house at no cost with the buyers inspector to answer questions. They also gave recommendations for an independent testing company to test after the work was done and a contractor to replace the walls quickly. I was very pleased with both recommendations. I was very impressed with ServPro. They should be very proud of their company and employees.

They responded to my call within a few hours. They wet-vacuumed the area, lifted up the carpet, removed the soaked pad, and set up large fans/dehumidifiers to dry out the area. They also sprinkled an anti-mildew powder. Their special fans were very effective, and they quickly dried up the area. They returned to pick up the fans and clean the carpet a couple days later. One thing to know is that they don't reinstall the carpet for you. They can give you the name of someone who will do that and sell you new carpet padding. The one negative is that they ripped one area of my carpet (rather than neatly cutting it like they should have). This made it difficult to put back together, and you can see the mark now, whereas it used to be a seemless transition. Because of this and their pretty hefty price, I may try to hire someone different next time.

Both the person who came to give us an estimate (the owner of the company, if I'm not mistaken), and the foreman of the job were extremely punctual, courteous, and willing to educate me on the water/mold situation in our basement. They scheduled us quickly, worked neatly, and were even considerate of preserving our flower beds when they brought large equipment into the house. They sealed the basement so that no fumes or particles entered the rest of the house, and left their equipment here for a few days to finish the job. I was extremely pleased with the whole experience.

ESTIMATE DIDN'T INCLUDE SMALL BATHROOM BUT WASHERS CLEANED IT ANYWAY. ESTIMATES CAME ON TIME, VERY PROFESSIONAL. WORKERS ALSO CAME ON TIME. PERFECT!! IT LOOKS AND SMELLS SO GOOD. I AM VERY PLEASED.
