Elissa Fenster Interriors

I felt as though I had a good rapport with Elissa. My biggest problem was with the people she sub-contracted. The window treatments for example were made by a woman who was late, surly and rude, all of which would have been fine except that the windows look awful. They cost roughly $1000 per window (mind-boggling) and they look cheap, uneven and are hard to use (many of the strings holding the roman shades in place have broken). One of the valences in our bedroom is 5 inches long on one side and 6 1/2 on the other - on a window about 2 feet wide! I wondered if she even owned a tape measure. The other subcontractor was a painter who was nice enough (though also incredibly expensive). But we left town for a month (to adopt a child) leaving him to finish the work while we were gone. Upon our return, after a 26 hour plane trip and with a new baby in tow, we found the house covered in dust, with furniture not back in place and the house basically a wreck. Elissa was supposed to inspect the work before giving him the check we left with her for him. Clearly she didn't! It was all too overwhelming to deal with at the time but suffice it to say I was not very pleased.
