After reading several good reviews, I took a sapphire ring to Doug at Boston Jewelry for the replacement of several small diamonds surrounding the sapphire.  The prongs holding them had been loosened.  I found Doug to be very helpful, friendly and communicative.  The ring was beautifully repaired at a reasonable price. (100.00)  I then took in some lovely Italian ceramic beads which needed to be  knotted and restrung.  Again, he did a great job.  So i took in one of those lovely sterling Boston pins of the Ducklings which was missing a clasp and he fixed that, too.  He is now definitely the first person to whom i would go with a jewelry issue!  The cost listed above includes all three repairs.  A fair cost for jobs well done!

Working with Doug was an incredible experience. Doug not only made me feel comfortable, he took the time to teach, explain and get to know what it was exactly that I was looking for. I was looking for an engagement ring, and had done some of my own research online and by visiting stores downtown. I was familiar with the quality Doug delivers, as a few friends of mine have used him in the past. Once I had an idea of what I wanted, I reached out to Doug to design the ring I wanted. He doesn't push you one way or another, but let's you pick the diamond you want. He gives you several examples to choose from, a variety of price ranges, the 4 C's, etc. I thought I knew enough about diamonds to make an educated decision, but realized that there are other factors to consider that other jewelers didn't share with me. Doug understood exactly what I wanted so he went to work finding the diamond that met all my specifics. Within a couple days, I received a call stating he had the diamond I was looking for and sure enough, it was perfect!! He designed the custom platinum baguette setting that was stunning, and even made a drive to my office in Boston to personally deliver the engagement ring I just purchased. My next purchase, wedding bands! I couldn't have been more pleased with Doug and his professionalism. I definitely found the jeweler for life.

Doug, at Boston Jewelry, suggested that he make a wedding band for my engagement ring. Needless to say he did a fantastic job and it not only looks beautiful but also, accentuates my engagement ring. Could not be happier!
