BEANTOWN DEVELOPMENT

Please do not make the mistake for your family that I did for mine. Dana Schneider/Beantown Development was a total complete disaster - this was the biggest and only financial mistake I have literally ever made in my life. Dana's work product was so horrendous - he doesn't know how to do basic framing - when the drywall was completed the walls and soffits he built were literally crooked. We had to fire him and literally redo the entire project. I did the demolition myself and, when I did, I horrifyingly found two bottles of urine left behind finished drywall. The new plumbers had to spend nearly a week correcting the plumbing. He hid things from the inspectors who issued "rough inspection" approval. He does not have any core competency. When I fired him he began shouting at me and alleged that I owed him more money for work he had completed (this was obviously not true). My family lost $31,500 on this disaster - please do not make the mistake I did - do not hire Dana or Beantown Development for any work at all. We will be taking legal action against Dana to try to recover some of our money. We are not wealthy people - this was a terrible terrible lesson that we learned. Save yourself and stay away from Dana Schneider and Beantown Development.

Please do not hire this guy,  He is unprofessional. Does not respond or take responsibility of the quality of his work.  He has "hacks" working for him and he does not check their work or his "subs" work.  You will be disappointed and more importantlyspend more because you will have to hire someone else to fix his work.    I wish someone reviewed him so I never hired him. 

I have only ever submitted positive reports to the list, but feel I really need to speak out on this one. Well, despite checking references and going with my gut feeling that he was a good guy, the people who showed up (when they showed up) were unskilled, ill-equipped, and made incredible messes. The one exception was the tile person, who did an excellent job (which was botched when the plasterer neglected to protect it and dropped wet plaster all over the newly grouted floor. it took two people 2 days to clean the mess. The final straw was in the home stretch, where they made dings on the front of the brand new and very expensive vanity. The wall that they built had to be done twice and the other side of it is still not level enough to hang the glass door. The 3-function fan light they installed only performs one of its 3 functions, so now I have a useless box on the wall. Also, the plastering work isn't smooth enough for a decent paint job, so I have to get someone else in to do the work again. Fortunately, due to the contract, I let them go and do not have to pay them anymore. He's lucky I haven't asked for my money back (yet). I think he's fairly embarrassed by all this but the poor workmanship, inability to meet expectations and the baseline respect of calling when not coming - all add up to a very poor review.
