National Limber deserves a wonderful review. I had a rocky start with them but at the end of the day they made it all better at their expense with absolutely no argument. It is rare to find a company that stands behind its products and services. They have great products and a wide range of options.
John, the kitchen design manager oversaw the work that needed to be done and was very helpful.

After visiting many cabinet sellers (including big box stores) we decided on National Lumber due to the expertise and helpfulness of the staff, particular Bob and his supervisor. They were very helpful and patient during the design process, making many helpful suggestions and resolving all design issues. They were happy to let us take home samples and even ordered a special sample for us at no charge. We went through several estimates as we made adjustments and they were happy to do it. They were meticulous in making sure all the measurements were right (they come out and carefully measure everything) and that the order was placed correctly. They go through every detail with you to be sure it is right. They give you an exact quote and stick with it and all delivery dates were met. Communication and responsiveness is excellent. The price was competitive and the cabinets we bought were of good quality. There was a problem with the Lazy Susan's and it was slow to get resolved but that had more to do with the manufacturer than National Lumber. Also, I ended up with some trim pieces that looked like they were needed during design but ended up not being needed and they took them back and gave me a refund. These are honest people looking to do a good job and give good service.

My wife and I are very happy with the way everything worked out, from the free design consultaion to the way Amy helped us out picking out the cabinets and hardware we wanted. She also suggested an installer who did a great job.

I used to work next door to it. They are one of the few places that do it. I would use them again in the future if need be because there are very few places that do it.

We have spent a lot with them over the course of a whole project. They are the closest lumber yard. They are one of the few places around that stocks cedar and hardwood. They generally have what I need. If they don't, they get it for me within a couple days. They are a little pricey.

I dealt with John at National Lumber, and had them make and install a corian top for my new vanity. They subcontract the job to a company that makes the top and then puts in the sink and installs the top. John was always on top of the job - never missed a beat, so that all went exactly as it should.

Our kitchen was very outdated and needed new everything. We decided to start with the cabinetry and went to National Lumber in Newton based on the positive experience our neighbor had with the company when he redid his kitchen. We met with Jim whom we liked immediately and felt comfortable with. The layout of the kitchen was going to be basically the same and we knew some of the features that we wanted (e.g. drawers that closed with a touch, space for small double oven), but Jim asked good questions and made some very helpful suggestions. After we took rough measurements of the space, we met again with Jim who then prepared computer drawings of the layout. We worked together in adjusting the drawings until they seemed to be just what we wanted. We never felt rushed or pushed to make decisions. We then selected the cabinetry. National Lumber had a good selection of cabinetry, but not so many that customers like us became overwhelmed. Jim helped us become more knowledgeable about the features of different types of cabinetry, pointing out pro's and con's. At the time we went to National Lumber we had not yet hired a contractor to do the work. We asked if National Lumber had the names of any contractors. Jim provided us with some names and, after interviewing several, we hired one of the contractors. It was clear that Jim and the contractor had worked together a number of times and that definitely worked to our advantage in the long run. Jim came to our home to take final measurements. The contractor was there at the same time and together we made a few adjustments. The cabinet order was then placed and they arrived on time. The cabinets were beautiful and the installation went very smoothly. We also purchased the hardware for the cabinets from National Lumber. It was a pleasure working with Jim and he definitely helped to make the remodel of our kitchen go smoothly. We still say hi to him anytime we go to the National Lumber store in Newton. We would highly recommend this company to anyone considering a kitchen remodel.

They were very responsive and provided a nice layout of the cabinets. The representative was extremely helpful and helped us make our choices and gave good recommendations. The quality of their work was good and I was satisfied with their service.

I initially went to the big box stores for my kitchen design but quickly realized that I was not going to get the personal service that I needed. I went to Kitchen Views on advice of a friend and I am sooo glad I did. Lee is amazing in her ability to figure out the smallest or largest problem when it comes to kitchen design. There was no fee for her service;she is on commission and she really works for it. I met with her 3 or 4 times over the course of 6 months. Each meeting lasted 1-2 hours and I never felt rushed. She sells a range of cabinets to fit any budget in addition to counters and hardware. She personally came to my house to measure when it was time to order the cabinets. You will not go wrong with your kitchen if you go with Lee. I did end up spending $9000 on my cabinets. Well worth it.

DENNIS WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH. HE HAD GREAT IDEAS. OME OF OUR CABINETS CAME DAMAGED AND THERE WAS NO PROBLEM GETTING REPLACEMENT PIECES.

THE COUNTERTOPS CAME OUT BEAUTIFUL.
