Amazing... better than amazing. Patrick and his team are highly skilled and very talented professionals. Work was done on time and on budget and we are thrilled with the final result and the process. We've done several rounds of renovation before - kitchen, interior reconstruction so we had some experience with this before. Patrick and his team went above and beyond and were incredible to work with. Can't say enough good things about them except a very big thank you to them.
Description of Work: Major home renovation that included expanding the living space within the existing footprint, adding rooms, replacing windows, and a front porch addition.

I've never had a hassle with any StrongHeart, Inc. work. Any concerns are quickly settled in the normal course of business conversation. Given the work performed, we were extremely pleased with the price and the efficiency of the work performed. About $3,000 of additional work was done by his subcontractors concurrently with work performed under the StrongHeart, Inc. proposal. This work was requested by us and unrelated to the StrongHeart scope of work, and we paid the subcontractors directly. We are very satisfied with all of this additional work, as well. Though not directly related to the StrongHeart, Inc. proposal, I am including reference to this work, because it indicates our trust in any subcontractor that Patrick uses. They are all very good at their trades and very considerate in their business relationships with us. All work was fully coordinated by Patrick Powdermaker (except for the additional work we requested directly from his subcontractors) from March to July 2013. We could not have been more pleased with the results. Oh yes, I now recall one incident that reflects on Patrick's integrity. About 4 years or so after the work was done and paid for, we had one of the wall cabinets that started to come loose from the wall (after I helped it out by grabbing the door for support when I climbed onto the counter to replace a ceiling light). I called Patrick to repair the cabinet. He sent out one of his carpenters who reinstalled the cabinet and we have had no problems since. Oh yes, it was my fault, but there was no charge for the work. Patrick thought the cabinet probably should have been anchored to the studs better than it was.
Description of Work: Total cost of the work done was roughly $40,000. Of this amount, $37,131 was paid directly to StrongHeart, Inc. based on a proposal contract that Patrick put together for us. The work included installation of an air conditioning system using existing heating ducts, various carpentry work, including replacement of front and rear porch floors, some structural work on the rear 2nd floor porch, and misc exterior carpentry and roofing repairs, bathroom renovation work, including replacement of window and tub/shower fixtures, and a new custom designed tile ceramic tile tub enclosure. The tile work involved a 2-color design that required some corrective work midway through the job, and this was done as a result of a periodic job review without a bit of hassle. The StrongHeart proposal also included exterior painting of all windows and siding for the whole the house, and interior painting of living room, dining room bathroom and hallway. Finally, we had a roof leak that required significant exploratory work to determine the cause, which was eventually found and corrected. I should add that I have been using StrongHeart, Inc. since 2004 when we did a major renovation to our kitchen and laundry areas. It was a $165,000 job that was extremely disruptive, though we did not have to move out while the work was performed. Patrick could not have been more considerate of us during the job. The work involved a total gutting of the entire kitchen and an adjacent bedroom that we incorporated into the new kitchen, as well as major structural work in order to accomplish this kitchen expansion. All work areas were carefully sealed off to prevent the spread of plaster dust (as much as could reasonably be expected in this kind of work). Whatever we needed to minimize our inconvenience was not too much to ask of Patrick. Now ten years later, we can say the kitchen still impresses our guests as brand new, and we know that all the equipment and appliances we installed at that time have held up very well, all of which were discussed with Patrick in detail during the job. His advice was invaluable at every step of the way, and we have not had any problems in these ten years that we would attribute to deficient workmanship.

The work was excellent and then the actual shingling was very very good. Their pricing was reasonable. The exterior painting part was not as good as the shingling part, he used a subcontractor, but they were still very good.
Description of Work: StrongHeart Construction did some re-siding of our house and that was excellent.

Patrick was great, he was very professional and issued a full scope of work prior to us starting. He listed out prices that were included and those that weren't. He was very accomododating when we said we wanted to use some of our own sub-contractors (vs. his). We started with a big estimate, but due to budget constraints, we cut back the job and Patrick didn't seem to mind working on a smaller job (despite him sharing he was very busy with big projects). He coordinated everything seamlessly with his sub contractors and although it took a bit longer than we had originally thought (only by a few days), the finished product was perfect. He created an opening symetrical to another existing opening and you really couldn't tell at the end which had been there for years, and which one was only a day or two old. Patrick really knows his business, his trade, and we felt compeltely comfortable with him, his crew and his work. Everything was also clean every night which we greatly appreciated. Would work with him again.
Description of Work: knocked down wall (created opening) from living room to sun room.

They were timely and accommodating. They were a great lower priced quote. We had quotes from a number of people, some of them wanting to make it into a bigger job. We wanted it to be a smaller job. He was happy to do that and to give a good price.
Description of Work: They did a kitchen and bathroom renovation including floors and counter tops.
