Haute Couture Kitchen LLC ("HCK") failed to provide the counter top or return $2000 deposit. HCK failed to pay his subcontractor installer requiring me to pay the installer directly. HCK's cabinets contained many defects: the bathroom vanity was not designed to hold a sink rendering it entirely unusable; the bathroom cabinet was too large & had to be cut in half then reassembled to fit in the room; wall cabinets did not include false bottom for puck lighting as represented in the design plan; the corner base cabinet drawers would not open when handles were attached because proper spacing was missing; drawer doors rubbed against each other because proper spacing was missing; some doors were the wrong style, color and size; shelves did not fit and had to be cut to size; custom fabrication was required for all crown molding; pre-drilled holes for cabinet shelves were not aligned with the glass front grill making the shelves visible. HCK failed to pay $5000 in extra installation costs to fix all the problems as required under contract. HCK failed to provide glass cabinet shelves, clothes poles and replacement trash bin as required under the contract. The manufacturer?s lifetime warranty against defective parts was not honored. I filed a law suit in Newton District Court and received a Judgment against HCK in June 2012. HCK failed to pay me the amount due by the court ordered deadline requiring me to go back to Court to seek enforcement of the Judgment.
