Phil and his staffs were very responsive communicators. And they did great work. It might be a bit higher than average.

They were very thoughtful to leave the weather-stripping tacked on and not fully nailed so that the garage door installers could maneuver the new doors in place. They were on time and very clean.

He does excellent work.

Nothing could have gone better.  The assessment was fair, and work finished on schedule.  Great looking results.

Very well.  Estimated 2 days of work but actually took only one day.  Contractor also worked with door supplier to fix minor blemishes in door.  I'm very impressed with this contractor's responsiveness - he always answered emails and phone calls the same day.

It cost us a lot. We were living across the country at that time and so we communicated by phone, texting, emails, and photographs, and they were very efficient. Phil Cherkas does not do the work himself, he scheduled various people that worked for him who specialize in plumbing and electric, and those who tear down walls and build walls. They were very easy to work with and very professional. Once we moved in, we had a punch list and they followed it through until we were happy. I talked to another builder who never followed through and Phil Cherkas followed through. Our time frame changed because we didn't take to action until 5 weeks after we thought we were going to, and he finished all the work that we needed done which was quite extensive in 3 weeks. He was great! During the punch list process, we met the electrician, a cleaning crew and people that did high-end carpentry, and they were the kindest and nicest professionals that I've ever dealt with.

This was my first experience of having to hire someone to do repairs on my home. I really didn't know what to expect or how to proceed. Phil Cherkas was a great help. He was very responsive, prompt, and accessible by phone and email. He showed up on time for the appointment and was one of the few people who listened to what I needed and wrote a contract that matched what I told him. The price was very reasonable, and middle of the road for quotes. I also liked that he is very upfront about their insurance. I got a lot of runaround from other companies when I asked if they were insured. Work started on schedule and finished within the time frame mentioned. He did not do the work, but the guys that he sent, Steve and Brian did nice work, were polite, and cleaned up well after the work was done. What I learned from my experience is to plan early be flexible about time. I am very pleased with this whole experience and will definitely contact him again for my next project.

He's excellent. Very reliable. I've been using him for repairs around my home for 2 or 3 years.

Everything went well. He started an schedule, and the carpenter was there every day. The siding around the garage really needed to be replaced too, but Phil agreed that just cutting it back would work. The work only took a few days, including painting. The original estimate included an hourly rate for the garage siding, but since everything went smoothly he did not add the hourly charge to the final bill.

The work that was done was fine, but their hourly rates were higher than others, and the specific worker was very slow and did not plan ahead for materials that he needed.

We had a very positive experience. The work was done carefully and with great attention to detail and the finished project looks excellent. We had planned to have the storm door replaced, but he was able to fix the existing one so it works like new. He was friendly, polite, honest, conscientious, very hardworking, and even our dog liked him. When the job was complete, he left the area cleaner than he found it. He even cut up the scrap wood and stacked it neatly next to our firewood. We will definitely hire them again.

It went well, the job was done promptly and professionally. The site was cleaned up and all old bricks removed. I had to call them back after an inspection for a minor adjustment and that was responded to promptly and professionally again.

He came and gave me an estimate for several different services. His prices seemed competitive. His carpenter was very professional, hardworking and cleaned up completely after himself. He was very pleasant and even did a couple of extra small jobs while he was here. His electrician worked quickly and also was very professional and clean. I will be using this company again for other repairs in my home.

I think it went excellent. They came very quickly. Their estimate was accurate and I was charged exactly what the estimate said. They were courteous, did a good job and cleaned up well.
