I cannot tell you how great Certified roofing was. Price, Professionalism , speed, quality and honesty. All the great things you look for in a vendor, Dion and team exceeded those expectations. Dion arrive right on time and his team went right to work. Even though he was doing a job for me, I felt honored to have him work on my house because he is genuinely a good human being. I would 100% recommend him to do any roofing work.

Three things make Dion and Certified Roofing stand out: communication, honesty and generosity Communication: Dion was readily accessible via phone, text or email. He explained every step of the process, answered all my questions about everything from protecting from water damming to whether brand matters when it comes to underlayment (it doesn't). He kept me posted on progress and even sent pictures as the job was underway Honesty: Dion set a price (which was the lowest I was quoted) and stuck to it. We had some confusion over gutter guards - Dion ended up installing high quality guards and didn't raise the price, despite the fact that they were not in the official quote. Generosity: In addition to the gutter guards, Dion threw in our shed roof as a bonus and even installed zinc to protect from moss growing in the future. They damaged my roof and I had to get it replaced. They promised to come back several times to do some minor repairs of the damage they did, but they haven't come back out.

Water was backing up into the house due to all the ice and snow that had clogged up the gutters. They came out the very next day at the time agreed upon and had their crew shovel off all the snow and ice from the roof and gutters. The water that had been backing up and leaking through the ceiling into the house stopped right away.  I thought it was on the expensive side but they were very prompt and professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend and use them again.

Quick and professional, no hassles. I needed a new roof shingled ASAP and they were there on the very day my contractor needed them to be and we love the job done.

His team showed up when they said they would to clear snow off my roof. I was having leaking in my house during winter storms so I was anxious to get it done. His price was almost $1000 over what other roofers were charging but I needed the work done ASAP. His team cleared the roof off my large house in a very short time and spent most of their effort shoveling the snow off the ground that came off the roof. Dian was absent most of the time. Before they left I noted one side of my house was barely cleared and still had a large ice dam. Dian said it is getting too dark to do it and would return the next day to do so. I stupidly gave him the check anyhow. He never did show up to to that side properly, despite many calls and promises to do so.. He seems like a nice guy, but in the end I felt he really gauged me for the work and was extremely unprofessional.

Most ice dams were removed but left quite a bit on the front part of roof. Also found many pieces of my roof on my back deck. Service was quick and a very resonable price

After contacting Certified Roofing via Angie's List messaging, Dion Gaines contacted back that same day with the quote and that his crew could be there the next day (a miracle since Certified was my 1st choice based on Angie's List reviews/and other roofers told me 5 wks/more typically, other roofers voice mail were full). I had some minor water damage around 2 windows inside, and wanted this taken care of asap to avoid further issues. The entire parameter of the roof looked to have ice dams. I was not home during their work, but my daughter was. It was a crew of 3 who worked 5 hours on the roof. The house is an extended cape with 2 chimneys, dormers, lip roof in the back - these is not a simple roof.  All issues resolved.
Initially, I was a bit shocked at the price. Have since spoken to others who paid about the same; old rule of supply and demand. And, given my complicated roof, I certainly got my money's worth. Peace of mind is blissful.

Roof looks great.  Dion is a very conscientious guy who tries to do quality work.

We came downstairs this morning to a leaking ceiling in our family room from snow and ice dams on the roof.  I called and left messages with several roofers that I found on Angie's List but knew given the severe weather that we have been having that I might not get called back right away and even if I did that I might not be able to be seen today.  Dion called me back promptly and asked me some questions about the roof and said that he could fit me in this afternoon.  He also quoted me the price.  He asked me to text the address and some details and then responded right away to confirm that he got the message.  His folks just left (big thank you! to Anthony who lead the 3 man crew) and my roof is clear with no ice or snow and the ceiling is no longer leaking.  Additionally, they shoveled all the snow that had landed on the driveway to the side.  I think it was cleaner than when they got here.  This has been a really stressful winter so I appreciate the promptness and professionalism with which Dion and his team responded.

Emergency call since ice dams were causing water damage in the house.  Owner returned call and said his team would be there same day.  No one arrived day one.  Day 2 he returned my call and said he would have someone there.  Crew arrived and removed most but not all of the snow and ice. In the process they damaged one of the gutters.  Owner offered to repair the damage in the spring but by then I was unhappy and declined.  I subtracted the cost of the repair and paid them.

They did a great job! We have a very tall house on a hill and in spite of 6 feet of snow on the ground they got up there and cleaned everything off. Just in time for the next snow/ice/rain event. They came early and got the job done a lot sooner than we imagined possible. During the job we called Dion to see if we could also get them to clear off a deck, since it sat on the roof of the downstairs unit. He was able to contact his team and get that taken care of right away. They were unable though to remove some multi-story icicles clinging to the side of the house. Apparently the ice had managed to get behind the siding and they didn't want to risk ruining the siding (or having it come off completely) by removing the exterior ice. We appreciated that they warned us about that. All in all an excellent experience. I would definitely use them again.

The epic snowfall in Boston January and February 2015 led to about 5 feet of snow in Newton (with 12 more inches on the way in the forecast tomorrow) --and our garage and sun room do not have slanted roofs. We called several different companies and no one answered our call, or they quoted unbelievably high prices --saying that they could charge whatever they wanted because people were desperate. 
Dion from Certified Roofing was different. He answered the call right away, and when he heard our situation, he helped us think about different ways to approach the problem. His manner was thoughtful and concerned  --which honestly meant a great deal to me after talking to so many people who were just out to make the most money possible, with no concern for the customer. 
Ultimately, we decided to use his company, and he gave us a fair price. I felt most comfortable using a roofing company. I''m sure we could have found a better price with a handyman but there is a big risk to the roofer shoveling snow off of a roof. It made sense to protect ourselves and the vendor by hiring an experienced roofing company. He finished the job that day. My anxiety about buckling roofs has lifted as we approach major storm #4. 
My only recommendation: Make sure you tell his team the areas around your house that should not be buried in falling roof snow --i.e. a laundry vent, outside trash cans, etc.  
I would call him again --but I hope we won't see this amount of snow fall  again soon!

Certified Roofing came to our home and saved us from sustaining further damage from the ice dams that had formed on our roof from the Blizzard of 2015!  They were professional, punctual and very efficient.

Certified Roofing did a great job.  I had noticed water coming through the ceiling of a downstairs room at about 9:00 am today.  Although I couldn't see any water in the attic or in the room above the leak, the roof had several feet of snow on it and large icicles all around, so it seemed likely that the cause was an ice dam sending water into the walls.  I reached Dion at about 10:00 and he originally promised to send a team tomorrow.  I was happy for this, as I had been unable to find any other roofer who could come more quickly.  Dion called  back at about 11:30 to tell me that our priority had been upped and he could send his team within the hour.  A team of six people arrived shortly afterwards and went to work removing the snow from the roof and breaking up the ice dams in the gutters.  The crew was efficient, hard-working, and friendly.  Dion came by after a short while to check on the team's progress and diagnose the cause of the water infiltration.  Three hours later, the roof was entirely clear.  We used a renovation contractor we had used before to drain the water where it was leaking, and the leaking has now stopped.  I have nothing but good things to say about Certified's responsiveness and performance.

It turned out ok. They did a re-roof for us. We had a little bit of some confusion of when the end day would be. We had concerns about projected deadlines and communication about deadlines. However, we are happy with our roof. They did a good job and we had a good overall experience.
