not good. i guess if you have lots of money to burn through they are a good contractor for you.
Description of Work: i worked with them to get an estimate on my kitchen. their process is long and drawn out. the owner missed an initial meeting and they go through this design agreement where they give you a general estimate. but then you go through this process of selecting products and their "trade" day where their plumber, tiler, and electrician come out to get a true estimate of the kitchen. i knew the estimate would go higher but NOT expecting almost double in price. their numbers don't even add up when i asked for the line item budget and they charge a ridiculous 20% overhead on all labor and products. even though i already bought the appliances separately, Paul wanted to charge 20% of the cost of the appliances and installation. ridiculous. so when i asked him to rework some numbers to see what we could trim down, he got back to me once but then never again. so in the end, i didn't do the project with him but i still got charged fees for the meetings and "design" assistance. which had i known the process more clearly, i would have never paid someone $100/hour to get me some quotes.

Response from Byggmeister
I am extremely sorry these potential remodeling clients were so extremely dissatisfied with our design process. Had they expressed their dissatisfaction to me directly rather than by means of a post on Angie’s List (which I did not find out about until weeks after the fact), I would have had a chance to answer any questions, explain any apparent discrepancies, and refund any money they paid for planning services that did not meet their expectations. Our goal is 100% satisfaction, and we almost always achieve that goal. Note I said “almost”: We do not claim to be infallible; I do make mistakes, as this particular client can attest. In place of infallibility, however, what I can promise is a level of accountability unique to the remodeling industry. I wish these particular homeowners had provided me the chance to demonstrate that accountability, by reaching out to me directly with their concerns.
