Each project was done on time or early. In fact, the door replacement was the result of a break in. When I called Barker and told him the story, he not only came by the next day, he provided a quote and timeline of when he could have the project completed right away. He finished that week! More recently, he worked on a full bathroom renovation. The work he did was amazing. Everything came out great. Barker went the extra mile here too. He accompanied me to Home Depot, so we could pick out materials together and offered his professional opinion.

Barker is an excellent person to work with. He has done many jobs for us over the last 10 years through 3 different homes. We were very pleased with each and every one. The subcontractors that he works with are excellent as well. He works with you side by side to accomplish what you have in mind. He works diligently, is very reliable, always leaves the site clean, and his price is very reasonable. We would recommend Barker without hesitation or reservation.

We were thrilled with the project completed by B Shackleton Construction. We needed to put our very old home on the market, and it was important that the contractor preserve as much of the original beauty and architecture as possible, and thankfully Barker did not disappoint. We constantly received compliments on the work Barker and his team performed. To this day, my friends say our kitchen and bathrooms should be in a magazine; I woke up everyday and couldn't believe how beautiful my kitchen was! Trustworthiness and reliability were extremely important to us, and Barker's team completely exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend his services!

I was completely satisfied with the result. The job took longer than expected – but the outcome exceeded my expectations. It’s not unusual to encounter surprises when renovating an antique house. And this house had more than its share of oddities. Moving electrical and plumbing services was a challenge. Locating antique wood to patch a 200-year-old pine floor was nearly impossible. But Barker is a creative guy – and he was determined to make this project a success. Barker came highly recommended to me by a neighbor. And he didn’t disappoint. Barker is honest and trustworthy. He delivers a quality product at a reasonable cost. I’d hire him again in a heartbeat!

Barker was easy to work with and very professional. His work was great. We absolutely love the finish product. Our friends and family can't believe the transformation of our house.

Both the bathroom and the fireplace look beautiful and are getting rave reviews from family and friends.. The fireplace included custom moldings and some tile work that was very difficult and precise, because of the tile that I had picked out. The bathroom also included a new tile floor, along with a new vanity, sink and toilet. Also, a wall had to be redone, because we had a shower removed. B.S.C. did a great job!

After the pipe burst incident, we've since used Mr. Shackleton for other jobs as well because of how happy we were with his work. We definitely recommend him and his crew! We would not have repeatedly hired him if we didn't... You know you're getting quality work when you hire him!

I liked that he was patient with my mother who is a very nervous person. When unforeseen things came up he took care of it. He works really hard and he gives really good prices. He also does very high quality work.
