American Leak Detection - Boston & New England

$325 for 45 minutes. That's a bit high but whatever. The guy they sent was nice enough, on-time, and professional. Equipment didn't detect leak in pool intake pipe. Agreed something was wrong with the water intake (Maybe a kink or bend in the pipe). Quote to cut concrete and repair/replace pipe was $6,500. Before I got to the quote the tech said it would be high and I should get other quotes. Quote specified day and half of work for two workers (24 hours). That's $270+ per hour for each guy. I wonder if each guy makes $50/hr. I doubt it. So I either pay too much or start over with a new company. :( I'll start over with a new company! I won't do business with American Leak Detection again.

The technician came in on time and seem pretty knowledgeable about leaks. With help of my previous homework on the problem he straight away got to to the problem and found the leak in less then an hour. I am quite happy with the work he did. Service was quite responsive as well.

First attempt was unsuccessful.  Company representative marked the area in my cement pool deck where he believed the leak to be.  I had another contractor break through the concrete, dig down to the PVC plumbing only to find there was no leak.  Company representative came back again to verify his negative finding.  After multiple phone calls with the company, they agreed to send a more experienced representative from outside the geography to attempt to find the leak.  This effort was successful.  When all was said and done, this turned out to be a very expensive repair, and my pool deck is a mess.  I can't say I'm satisfied with the service, but based on my research, this company is the only one in this area that does this kind of work.

Rob was a few minutes late and was extremely apologetic. He described exactly what he was doing and found leaks in the liner of the pool, which i did not suspect. He then tested all of the pool lines and found a minor problem with one of the lines. Rob was extremely helpful in offering to patch the holes and then when I declined telling me how i can patch them myself. He also described the process of fixing the return line that was leaking as well. I would recommend Rob to anyone who needed a leak found.

He was able to show me several areas that were leaking water and told me how I could repair those areas myself. He was right!
After several years of running the hose every day to replace water in the pool, we haven't had to add water once since the repair. The repair was simply an $18 tube of epoxy to fill areas near the skimmers. Amazing.

Went well they were professional but I was not happy for the extra charge.

The company provided their service fine, but I was hoping such experts would provide a 100% conclusive result.

Robert was very knowledgeable and professional. I investigated 4 other vendors prior to selecting American Leak Detection. They have developed sophisticated technologies in their specialty of leak detection to pinpoint a leak. Since they only do leak detection and not repair it was important that I could trust his recommendations as being objective. His analysis helped us make educated decisions on very expensive repairs so having the right answers was critical. Robert went carefully through each of his findings which was very helpful. A pleasure to work with.

They did not do any plumbing but just pointed us at the right direction, but it turned out that where the leak was coming from was not the sink actually. They were very fast. They could have done a cleaner job of ripping up the ceiling to try to find the leak but other than that they were fine. I found one more crack afterwards; I expected that.

They did a good job. It's been over a year and we still haven't had any problems. They were very nice, prompt, and did the work very well.

The work turned out very good.
