My kitchen turned out beautiful.

Bob is a great guy. We made a few changes to the original plan- he was always fast and thoughtful with the layout.

Bob did on outstanding job for us.  We went to him after working with another kitchen designer with whom we ultimately did not feel comfortable.  We loved working with Bob.  He took his time, clearly educated us in the various cabinet alternatives, and we never felt rushed.  We had a pretty good idea of the general layout of sinks and appliance placement we wanted but none of the details.  Bob did a great job with the design of all the cabinets, drawers, island, a corner banguette and a tv cabinet.  He never tried to upsell us, and gave us several cabinet alternatives.  In the end we chose the more expensive alternative, but I never felt he was pushing us in that direction.  His measurements were precise and everything fit perfectly.  We used his recommended granite guy and his cabinet installer.  Both were terrific.
We LOVE our kitchen!!  Everyone who has seen it has commented on how nice the cabinets are.  It is definitely our dream kitchen.

Our kitchen was completed in 4 weeks from start to finish.  We purchased all your appliances, sink, faucet, tiles, flooring, pendant lighting, cabinet knobs, so they would be here at the start of the job.  Have the cabinet installer, plumber and electrician come out and give you an estimate at about the time you are planning on ordering the cabinets.  Hire Hvac and roofer to install range hood.  We were able to stay on budget which is always a plus.

Bob was terrific and available whenever we needed to consult with him. Very easy-going and easy to work with. We found him respectful of our ideas and our timetable.

The job went very well. Bob met the cabinet delivery truck at our house and made sure each and every piece was accounted for. He was also extremely responsive if we had questions and was happy to communicate via email, which was my preferred method in the planning stages. He happily gave his opinions on granite samples and floor and backsplash tile samples when we had trouble making decisions. That said, he does not act as an interior designer, providing color boards, etc. (I guess I watch too much HGTV and was kind of hoping for that service, but felt like I was on my own for the most part with that. That's not a strike against Wayland Kitchens, but just beware that this is not really a service they provide.)

When it came time to install the cabinets, Jack, the installer had his work cut out for him as our 62 year old house is far from level. Jack did an amazing job getting the cabinets level on our sloping floor and ceilings. We were very pleased with the GC and other contractors we used through Bob as well. 

We are so in love with our new kitchen. It has literally changed our lives. It's very functional and we have more storage and counter space than we could ever dream of for such a small house. We even hosted our first Thanksgiving this year with 12 people and could never have done it in our old kitchen.

Working with Bob was wonderful.  He is one of the most pleasant people that I've ever met.  At first, I was concerned that he didn't seem to carry too many different lines of cabinets.  So, I ended up going to another cabinet showroom to compare what they had to offer.  I ended up going back to Bob.  His Cabico cabinets were comparable in price to the other stuff that I saw of similar quality.   While the Cabicos were not THE highest end cabinet, we ended up being thrilled with the quality of them.  They are gorgeous and really well made.  They all have slide out shelves and soft touch closing. I scheduled the job to start as I left town for two weeks.  Unbeknownst to us, Bob had asked his guys to get the kitchen finished in the two weeks.  We have small children and he knew it would be hard for all of us to be working on the kitchen with them around.  They weren't able to get it completely done, but it was at least in working condition when we returned and we were extremely happy and grateful about that. Bob does not act as general contractor, but instead works with his preferred team of independent subcontractors.  We were more than pleased with his installer, his electrician and his granite countertop guys.  They are really a great team.  His installer is also an all-around handyman sort, so he was able to tackle as sorts of 'extras' that we threw at him.....like fixing our front door, fixing some squeaky steps and building a top covering to the cabinets (because the kitchen cabinets can be seen from above from the stairs).
