You can learn how to construct almost any wooden project from a basic box or a picture frame to a more complex one like a bed with storage or a drawer with secret compartments. Also available Home Improvement classes where one can learn how the whole house works and how to fix most of the common problems. A more elaborated version of how the woodworking and home improvement classes operate there is a brochure available upon request. About me: I'm a licensed unrestricted construction supervisor with ability to work in all trades, I.e .: rough and finish carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating, roofing etc. Professional custom furniture builder with 40+ years experience .with over 25 years in teaching experience in adult continuous education in woodworking and home improvement. Certified advanced locksmith and a woodworking teacher. Registered and licensed with the state of MA and running my own company. Have more licenses and expertise in other fields (available upon request). My company and I build custom homes from spring to fall and, during the winter months, I build custom furniture. Have several publications in woodworking magazines and constantly was running a monthly contractor's column in several local newspapers answering homeowner's questions as a part of my "community work".

Boris has made some beautiful pieces of custom built furniture for us over the years. One of our favorites is the a custom built bookshelf for each of our kids. He worked with us on the design and created two pieces that our kids love and can grow with.

Boris did a thorough and timely work, for a very reasonable fee. He re-attached the original falling out front railing from the dust panel and replaced all the missing pine back stops with hand made cherry back stops. He secured the knobs, and adjusted and/or replaced runners. He sanded and waxed the sides of the drawers, as well as the side rails and front ones. Boris also indicated the order of the drawers by a slight pencil mark on the side. The work was thorough and meticulous. After dealing with a broken dresser for months, we were so happy to find an excellent craftsman who was able to do the repairs within less than two weeks. He also showed us how to wax the drawers (once a year) and provided us with some extra wax. The mirror for the medecine cabinet needed some fasteners in the back, yet finding someone to help with it was a challenge. We are very happy to have our vintage dresser back and functioning and our médecine cabinet mirror fixed. Communication was also very easy, with Boris informing us of the progresses, paying attention to detail and even consulting us about the type of fasteners to be placed in the back of the mirror.

Boris is the consummate professional. He was prompt in his initial response and completion of the work. Unexpectedly, he provided a complete step by step description of the repair process and the materials used . . . greatly appreciated! The end result was a "NEW" chair!

Sparks Co. was absolutely terrific. Boris, the proprietor, was professional, responsive, and courteous. He was easy and flexible to schedule, He made a trip to my home to diagnose the problem and returned for the repair when the parts arrived. He fixed my chair that the furniture company (Jordans) said could not be repaired. He is very good at what he does. Boris was able to diagnose and fix the problem. He was also meticulous - taking great care to respect the environment in my home. He changed his footwear to inside shoes when he entered my home. He used drop clothes, towells, and gloves to keep my home clean. He wore a mask at all times. Boris was incredibly flexible with timing and was able to come to my home at times that were convenient to me., I will definitely use his services again for general construction work around my home and I strongly recommend him for work in your home.

Boris Supin, executed an exemptional job, when building book cases. Boris was clear and concise, organized and reliable. We entrusted Boris with three cherished items: an heirloom side table, a cherry wood coffee table that we ourselves made, and an ornate mirror that we had purchased abroad. Each of these items was in need of substantial finishing before occupying central locations in our home. We are repeat customers of Boris because Boris takes pride in his work, approaches projects with the patience required, charges a fair rate, and is a pleasure to interact with. Of note, Boris was literally trained and practiced as a general surgeon. For projects that we want to be sure are done right, we have been so happy with Boris' level of craftsmanship.

The furniture and frames that Boris has built for our family over the past 14 years are, without question, the most used and beloved pieces in our home. His quality of craftmanship, attention to detail and the care taken to ensure each piece is perfect has no comparison in my opinion. He's built various pieces such as an intricate, custom frame for an extremely large focal-point mirror for our dining room, which gets compliments from every visitor to our home. Another notable project was a large custom shelving unit that had multiple mobility requirements so that it could be deconstructed and reconstructed to enable us to more easily decorate for the holidays. The shelving unit has served our family every day for the past 11 years. It's extremely sturdy and has withstood the impact of three rambunctious children without fail all while remaining a gorgeous and functional enhancement to our family room. I whole-heartedly endorse Boris' work and hope that you'll give him a chance to create your next heirloom-quality piece. Beyond fabulous! Boris is a master craftsman with any kind of wood. He has built a desk and bookcases for me. He has repaired the UNrepairABLE --- and one would never know that the furniture piece ever had been damaged. The only complaint I have about Boris is that he undercharges. My husband and I both have argued with Boris to accept more than he had charged us. Boris is a gem; anyone is fortunate to have him accept your job. And, P.S.: I am not related to Boris; just grateful to be one of his customers!

Boris was amazing! I have long wanted a custom book shelf unit for a walkway between my bedroom and bathroom. I contacted Boris with my rough ideas, and he designed and built an 80 x 60 three section cherry bookshelf for the space. He kept me informed of progress throughout and even shared photos of his work. He came to our house and installed it for us as well. It is exactly what I wanted and every time I see it, I smile!!
